Describe a time you helped someone you did not know. Speaking: Band 8+ Sample Monologue: I’d like to share an experience from a few months ago when I was visiting the Registan Square in my hometown, Samarkand. It was a crisp autumn afternoon, and the area was teeming with visitors. I noticed a young man, clearly a tourist, who looked incredibly bewildered while staring at a map and then back at the towering madrasahs. Recognizing that he was struggling to find his way, I approached him and asked if he required any assistance. It turned out he was looking for a specific, lesser-known workshop hidden within the narrow alleys of the old city. Since I’m quite familiar with the labyrinthine streets of Samarkand, I offered to walk him there instead of just giving directions, which can be quite confusing for a newcomer. As we strolled through the historic quarter, we had a fascinating conversation about Uzbek architecture and local traditions. I found myself acting as an impromptu tour guide, which was actually quite rewarding. The reason I decided to step in was twofold. Firstly, as someone who takes great pride in the hospitality of my culture, I felt a sense of responsibility to ensure a guest had a positive impression of our city. In Uzbekistan, hospitality is deeply ingrained in our DNA. Secondly, I’ve been in similar situations while traveling abroad, and I know how overwhelming it can feel to be lost in an unfamiliar environment. Helping him wasn't just about giving directions; it was about making a human connection and sharing the beauty of my heritage. Ultimately, seeing his relief and gratitude made the small detour completely worthwhile. Examiner's Comment (UZ):
Ushbu monolog 8-bandga loyiq, chunki unda fikrlar mantiqiy va juda ravon rivojlangan. Teeming with, bewildered, labyrinthine va impromptu kabi aniq va boy lug'at boyligi ishlatilgan. Grammatik jihatdan Recognizing that... (participle clause) va which can be... (relative clause) kabi murakkab tuzilmalar mavjud. Muallif nafaqat nima qilganini aytadi, balki nima uchun yordam berganini madaniy mehmondo'stlik va shaxsiy tajriba bilan bog'lab, chuqur tahlil qiladi. Tuzilishi mexanik emas, balki tabiiy hikoya shaklida.

Describe a time you helped someone you did not know. Speaking: Band 6+ Sample Monologue: I want to talk about a time I helped a stranger. This happened last summer in Tashkent at the famous Chorsu Bazaar. It was very hot and crowded. I saw an old woman who was carrying many heavy bags of vegetables and bread. She looked very tired and she was struggling to walk to the bus station. First of all, I went to her and asked if she needed help. She was a bit surprised of me but she said yes. Then, I took the heaviest bags from her. We walked together for about ten minutes. While we were walking, she told me that she was buying food for her grandchildren. After that, we arrived at the bus stop and I waited with her until her bus arrived. I helped her to put the bags on the bus. I decided to help this person because she reminded me of my own grandmother. In Uzbekistan, we are taught to respect and help elderly people. Also, it was a very hot day and I felt sorry for her because the bags were too heavy. I felt happy after helping her because she smiled and thanked me many times. Examiner's Comment (UZ):
Ushbu javob 6-band talablariga javob beradi. Monolog First of all, Then, After that kabi oddiy bog'lovchilar yordamida izchil tuzilgan. Hikoya Toshkentdagi Chorsu bozori haqida bo'lib, mahalliy xarakterga ega. Lug'at boyligi yetarli, ammo sodda (heavy, tired, happy). Band 6 darajasini ko'rsatish uchun matnga bir nechta xatolar kiritilgan: surprised of me (aslida surprised by me yoki at me bo'lishi kerak) va I helped her to put (biroz g'aliz tuzilma). Shuningdek, gaplar uzunligi turlicha, ammo murakkab konstruksiyalar deyarli yo'q.

IELTS 5+ sample (Conclusion) In conclusion, I think high school must have community service compulsory. It is good for students character and help them in the future life. Examiner comment:
Xulosa juda qisqa va faqat oldingi fikrlarni oddiy so'zlar bilan takrorlaydi. Noto'g'ri birikmalar mavjud (students character apostrofsiz yozilgan, future life biroz g'alati eshitiladi).
IELTS 6+ sample (Conclusion) In conclusion, making unpaid community service a compulsory part of high school is a positive step. It develops personal responsibility and gives teenagers practical skills for their careers, so I strongly support this proposal. Examiner comment:
Fikr to'liq xulosa qilingan va aniq pozitsiya qayta ta'kidlangan. So'zlar o'rinli va to'g'ri tanlangan (positive step, personal responsibility).
IELTS 7+ sample (Conclusion) In conclusion, I firmly believe that mandatory community service should be integrated into high school education. Doing so not only broadens young perspectives by fostering altruism but also provides them with essential life skills that traditional academic subjects often overlook. Examiner comment:
Xulosa butun esseni juda silliq va chiroyli yakunlaydi. Fostering altruism va traditional academic subjects often overlook kabi yuqori darajadagi iboralar muallifning tilni mukammal bilishini ko'rsatadi.

IELTS 5+ sample (Body Paragraph 2) Secondly, students can learn many things from volunteer. They learn how to work with others. In school they just read books but volunteer is practice. When they finish school and find a job, this experience is help them to get a good job easily. Examiner comment:
So'zlar ko'p takrorlangan (learn, volunteer, job). Shuningdek, volunteer is practice yoki is help them kabi noto'g'ri grammatik tuzilmalar (fe'l va otning noto'g'ri ishlatilishi) mavjud.
IELTS 6+ sample (Body Paragraph 2) Secondly, doing volunteer work provides students with essential life skills that they cannot learn from books. Working in a team to organize a charity event improves their communication and teamwork abilities. These practical skills are very beneficial when they apply for university or look for a job in the future. Therefore, it is a valuable addition to high school programmes. Examiner comment:
Yaxshi mantiqiy oqim va amaliy misollar keltirilgan (communication and teamwork abilities). Xatolar deyarli yo'q, lekin fikrlar va grammatik tuzilmalar Band 7 darajasidagidek xilma-xil va murakkab emas.
IELTS 7+ sample (Body Paragraph 2) Furthermore, incorporating unpaid work into the curriculum equips students with practical, transferable skills that are highly valued in adulthood. Academic studies often fail to teach vital soft skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication. By organizing local charity drives or collaborating on community projects, students develop these competencies in a real-world context, which ultimately gives them a distinct advantage in the competitive job market. Examiner comment:
Kuchli akademik argumentatsiya va murakkab gaplar ishlatilgan. Transferable skills, soft skills, competencies kabi leksik vositalar paragrafning professional va ishonchli chiqishini ta'minlagan.

IELTS 5+ sample (Body Paragraph 1) Firstly, community service is good for young people. They can help old people or clean the park. If they do this, they will understand life is not easy. And they will be kind to other people in the future. Also, students just study at school and they do not know real world. Examiner comment:
Fikrlar yetarlicha chuqur rivojlanmagan va bog'lovchilar juda oddiy (Firstly, And, Also). Gaplar asosan qisqa va sodda tuzilgan, shuningdek artikl tushib qolishi kabi kichik xatolar (real world oldida the yo'q) bor.
IELTS 6+ sample (Body Paragraph 1) Firstly, participating in unpaid community work teaches teenagers about responsibility. For example, if students volunteer at a local hospital or nursing home, they will interact with different kind of people. This experience makes them more compassionate and helpful. Furthermore, it takes them out of their comfort zone and shows the real problems in society. Examiner comment:
Misollar aniqroq (local hospital or nursing home) va lug'at boyligi ancha yaxshilangan (compassionate, comfort zone). Lekin different kind of people o'rniga kinds bo'lishi kerakligi kabi kichik grammatik kamchiliklar mavjud.
IELTS 7+ sample (Body Paragraph 1) One of the primary reasons for making community service mandatory is that it cultivates empathy and a strong sense of civic duty. When teenagers are required to engage in activities such as assisting at homeless shelters or participating in environmental clean-ups, they are exposed to societal realities outside their immediate social circles. This exposure breaks down prejudices and encourages them to become active, compassionate members of their communities. Examiner comment:
Mavzu juda chuqur tahlil qilingan. Cultivates empathy, societal realities, va breaks down prejudices kabi yuqori darajadagi so'zlar uzluksiz va mantiqiy bog'langan holda tabiiy ravishda qo'llanilgan.
