Supercell’s CEO Ilkka Paananen just released the annual blog post about insights on Supercell! 🔥 Here are some interesting things: Revenue: - 2025 Revenue: $3.01 Billion - EBITDA: $1.06 Billion (+12% from 2024) 2025 was the highest recorded Revenue for Supercell thanks to Clash Royale. 🤑 Supercell also employed almost 300 new employees in 2025. 🤯 Squad Busters Death: Why it didn’t work? The team realised with the failure of the first beta (5000 players) and the success of the second beta (140,000 players) the game was good enough but later they realised that they needed a third beta to actually get the full picture. Also the fact that Supercell’s last 5 games that launched globally with a Success, their risk appetite was getting too constrained and they weren’t being bold enough. 🫡 That said: Supercell is not against launching new games, they have doubled their investment for new games in 2025 compared to 2024 and again doubled in 2026 compared to 2025. 🔥

Adobe Animate (The Tool behind most Supercell Games) is officially shutting down in March, 2027! 🫡 Most Supercell Games are developed on Adobe Animate using Flash Files, though it is unlikely it will affect development right now because old versions would work just fine ℹ️ Also Clash Royale has already started to implement 3D assets (Adobe Animate is 2D) in gameplay so it could be about time other games does it as well ‼️ Do you think Supercell Games would move away from 2D Assets? 🤔
