Cabin lights are dimmed during takeoff and landing so passengers’ eyes can adjust to outside darkness. If an emergency happens, people can see clearly and exit faster. 🛫 Why pilots say “Rotate”? When the aircraft reaches takeoff speed, the captain or first officer says “Rotate.” This means it is time to gently raise the nose and lift the aircraft into the sky. 🌦️ How weather radar works? Good morning future aviators! Meet Capitan Leul Abate: the most chilling passenger announcement in the history of Ethiopian airlines. One of the most dramatic moments in the history of Ethiopian airlines was Flight 961 in 1996, when hijackers forced a to keep flying even though it did not have enough fuel. Captain Leul Abate stayed calm and tried to save everyone by attempting an emergency landing near the Islands, but the aircraft crashed into the ocean after running out of fuel. Although many lives were lost, some passengers survived because of the pilot’s skill, and his courage made the event one of the most unforgettable stories in Ethiopian Airlines history.
