whats the first thing yall do when ur grpmate gives u shit during ur proj? i bet 90% of yall wld complain to other ppl ab it. while this is unavoidable, i defo feel like in poly, u cant complain the same as when ure in sec sch. in poly, ure expected to think maturely BUT this is not the case for quite alot of ppl. childish/ignorant comments/behaviour WILL lead u to a bad rep or cause others to b misunderstood. here are some tips i hv to manage these emotions and help u think twice before saying anything
1) ask urself if u were thinking emotionally/rationally. emotions cn defo sway ur logic and if uve had a bad day or bad encounter with someone bfr. u might automatically be put in a bad mood when they do something undesireable agn. i URGEEE u to reflect on it before speaking up ab it, be it mentally or verbally when ure recounting the situation. this also helps u to rly assess the facts vs ur opinions and it also might let u let go of the small things.
2) pls hv empathy n put urself in their shoes. this is abit hard but alw give someone the benefit of doubt unless ofc, it happens alot of times cs u rly dk what theyre gg thru.
3) ONLY COMMENT AB UR PERSONAL EXPERIENCES. this one depends ok, dont go pulling evidence frm the grapevine cs it might be either innaccurate cs ppl sprinkle their salt n pepper w each version or theyre biased or information can get twisted along the way. the ONLY time i think its ok to speak of others' experience, is when ure rly rly close to them and they hv receipts. ik most of these rumours serve as a warning but its not good to alw trust rumours thats why.....
4) trust ur OWN experience vs others. its completely ok to disagree w the majority cs it js shows u hv morals to not treat someone badly js cs of rumours/ others words/ uw to go with the flow. as a victim of the rumours, i alw trust what i see and experience vs what i hear. i also think this is the fairest way to judge someone and if u dont like how they are, u cn js conclude that u dont get along w them.
If uve checked all these boxes and want to complain, i suggest u do it w someone u trust or not in sch cs u never know. If others still reject ur opinion thats fine but more on that tmrw 😝 | 276 |

day 1: when u go to poly or if u're already in poly, u have/WILL meet diff kinds of ppl. they can test ur limits or they can increase ur limit.
'wtf does that mean tea???' simply put, u cn take it as a blessing or a curse. e.g. u cn shift ur perspective from 'why is she so hard to work w, she only wants to use her idea' to 'how can i incorporate elements of her idea into our project?' or 'how can i build on this and improve' etc. this defo takes some practice and comes easier to some than others but i definitely think in a GROUPwork setting involving COLLABORATION, as much as we listen to all ideas, some will be sacrificed. this is js oneee example so if u hv anything specific u cn leave it in the ngl link
basically, ur mindset matters alot and this altering this can actly help u tahan more sometimes by thinking of things as lessons to better urself rather than just an inconvenience. once uve learned how to deal w a certain type of ppl/circumstances, u cn apply it agn in future settings.
ofc u can complain ab ur teammates and ppl ard u but.....thats a piece for tmrw 😛 | 196 |
