Lately, Iβve been spending a lot of time architecting and building automated Telegram bots, so I am really excited to share my newest task with the gheero Youth Advisory Council.
We are expanding the reach of a new AI-powered Telegram chatbot called Wede Salon, which is designed to provide confidential Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) information to young people across Ethiopia.
I need 100 of you to help me test it out, and there is something in it for everyone here:
π§βπ» For the developers & tech folks: This bot is a great case study in local language NLP. It handles both text and voice-note recognition in Amharic, Afaan Oromo, and English. Iβm really curious to see how the architecture processes complex edge cases and maintains conversational context. I want you to go stress-test the speech-to-text models and let me know how accurate the response latency feels!

Why it failed: With zero server errors, I still got a blank screen. cPanel automatically drops a generic index.html page into the public web folder, and LiteSpeed prioritizes static files, intercepting all traffic before it ever reached Node.js.
The Fix: Deleting that single default file instantly brought the app online! π

Takeaway: Modern frameworks are incredible, but deployment infrastructure is often years behind. Every deployment battle you fight adds another layer of armor to your engineering skills. Keep building! π οΈ
