We are excited to welcome Mokhinur Khamidova to our team 🎓 She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Utah State University and a Master’s at UC Irvine, bringing a strong foundation in analytical thinking and research. 💼 Her professional journey includes roles at Teva Pharmaceuticals and the Intermountain Healthcare Leadership Institute in USA, where she worked as an Operating Room Inventory Management Specialist. At our project, Mokhinur will be focusing on research coordination and data precision. Meet our student Khabibulloh Abdullakhonov whose work explores how Uzbekistan’s political attitudes have changed from the Soviet era to today. His paper, “From Soviet Rule to Independence: Generational Shifts in Political Attitudes in Uzbekistan,” looks at how people from different generations think about government, trust, and participation. He found that while older citizens tend to value stability and authority, younger Uzbeks are more open to discussion, critical thinking, and public engagement. Now, Khabibulloh is on the way to publishing his paper — a meaningful step to understanding modern Uzbekistan. 👏Congratulations to our student on this outstanding achievement Need help? 🎓 New Mentor at Griffins Centre We’re excited to welcome our new mentor, a scholar that was selected to the Pioneer Research Program, worked under the guidance of an NYU professor. Her research focuses on one of today’s most critical global issues: women’s rights. Her paper explores the realities faced by women in refugee settings of Bidibidi Camp in Uganda and offers thoughtful, evidence-based recommendations to United Nations for policy change. We’re proud to have her join the Griffins Centre community and can’t wait to see how her insights inspire our next cohort.

🎉 Student Achievement Spotlight - Ruslan Rajabov. We’re proud to celebrate the publication of his paper “Cybersecurity Readiness of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Uzbekistan” in the European Journal of Business and Social Sciences (EJBSOS). Special credit to UN Research Academy for helping with publication as well. This study highlights the growing importance of digital security among local businesses and provides valuable insights into how SMEs in Uzbekistan can strengthen their cybersecurity practices. 👏 Congratulations to our student researcher for this incredible accomplishment! Meet Daniel Ismagilov - a person with the most creative, personally-connected, and interesting research paper. Daniel explored the topic: “Simulating Parrot Echo Chambers: A Physics and Computer Science Model of Vocal Mimicry in Flocks”. His work stands out for its mix of physics, computer science, and biology. Using an agent-based model, he simulated how parrots imitate each other’s calls and how environmental factors like noise, flock size, and hearing range influence the emergence of “echo chambers”, a parallel to how opinions spread in human societies. Now, Daniel is on the way to publishing his research, a remarkable achievement that highlights his scientific curiosity, creativity, and dedication. His work stands as one of the most original and thoughtful research projects ever. @griffins_centre

Meet Suhrob Abduqaxxorov, one of our most dedicated and ambitious students. Over the past two months, he not only wrote the research paper, but also secured supervision in research from a Research Associate from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). In his work he explored key psychological factors that influence saving and spending behaviours in teenagers. We’re proud to share that his paper is on the way to be publicly pre-printed, after our team spent around 10 hours from brainstorming ideas to polishing the paper.
