🏛About Agora AID offers We've sent acceptance letters to more than 10 students for Agora AID itself, and offered the Agora Admissions Program, the pre-Agora AID stage, to more than 20. We offer Agora Admissions when we want to support a student but their application still has something that only they can complete: a pending SAT score, research awaiting publication, and so on. The Admissions Program, through which we'll select students for Agora AID, is starting soon. It's completely free and a scholarship opportunity. Also, please check your inbox for the emails. 🏛agorawriting.com

🏛Agora Aid vs Agora Programs Agora Aid and the Agora Programs are two different things. People keep mixing them up, so let me explain. Agora Aid is the full support scholarship program. end to end. You apply on agorawriting.com/agora-aid For Agora Programs, which include Writing, Admissions, Full Support, all three are explained on our website. You can apply them on agorawriting.com/apply Applying to one is not applying to the other. Getting into one does not put you into the other. The two decisions have nothing to do with each other. If we invited you to an interview, the link is already in your email. Check spam and promotions too. If it is still not there, message us and we will send it again. You do not need to explain anything. Now it is Q&A time. Ask anything in the comments. We will answer today.

🏛Now you get an email when you apply Until this week, applying to Agora felt like dropping a letter into a hole in the ground. You filled the form. You clicked submit. The page said something polite. Then nothing. We knew this was bad. People kept writing to ask: did it go through? Every time, the answer was yes. It went through. We have your application. We're reading it. You just had no way of knowing that. So we built the email system. Now you apply, and the email arrives. Immediately. It confirms we have your application and tells you what happens next. We set up proper authentication so mailbox providers trust us. We warmed the sending domain up slowly instead of blasting messages on day one. And we wrote the message so it doesn't read like a robot receipt. If you applied and got nothing, check spam once, then write to us. 🏛agorawriting.com

🏛 Ten weeks. That is what stands between today and November 1. Most applicants will spend nine of them on the wrong things. Chasing recommendation letters. Re-reading the activities list. Refreshing the Common App dashboard as if it will change. Then, in the last week, they will open a blank document and try to become interesting. It does not work. A personal statement is a noticing task. You cannot notice your own life in six days. The students who write well in October started collecting in August. Fragments of your life. The argument you had with your father. The exact smell of the classroom. That is what Agora Pages are for. You write them so that, when the essay is due, you already have something to say. Ten weeks. Use it. Homer Community application is still open: agorawriting.com/programs/agora-writing 🏛agorawriting.com

AGORA AID 2.0 IS OPEN WHO WE ARE Agora, SATashkent and UNLOCK are one college-preparation community in Central Asia. We have been building it since 2022. Since then: — 10,000+ students taught for the SAT — 1450 median score. Our strongest student: 1590 — ten points from perfect — 100+ students trained through AP exams — 100+ students placed at Top 100 universities, many on full scholarships — Cornell, University of Toronto, Seoul National University, Kyoto University, HKUST That is the foundation. Agora Aid is what we are building on top of it. WHAT AGORA AID IS A full individual scholarship covering the entire university admissions process. A mentor, assigned to you, who takes you from where you are now to an offer letter. You receive: ✦ A dedicated admissions mentor ✦ Your application reviewed by our Review Team including Kelly Britt, who read undergraduate applications at Stanford. Your file gets read by someone who has sat on the deciding side of the desk, before you submit it ✦ A personalised university list ✦ Full essay development, brainstorming, drafting, line-by-line review ✦ Extracurricular and activity strategy ✦ Interview preparation ✦ Financial aid and scholarship strategy ✦ Offer negotiation support Cost: 0. There is no catch, no instalment plan, no fine print that turns into a bill. WHAT HAPPENED IN WAVE 1 Over 1,000 applications. 25 seats. Under 2.5%. We are not going to pretend that is a good statistic. A thousand students in this country asked for serious admissions help and we could reach twenty-five of them. Wave 2 is 25 more seats. It is still not enough, and most people reading this will not get one. We are not going to soften that. It is the number we can deliver properly, and delivering it properly is the entire point of the programme. WHO SHOULD APPLY — Anyone applying to university, from any city, any school, any income level — Applied in Wave 1 and never heard back? Apply again. No contact in June means you were not selected. Your Wave 1 application carries zero weight here, in either direction. But apply because something has genuinely improved, a score, a project, a result, not because you are hoping for a different roll of the dice — You do not need to be an SATashkent student — You do not need a finished SAT score to apply WHO SHOULD NOT — Anyone who wants someone else to write their essays. We will not, and we will end the agreement if asked — Anyone who cannot commit to the deadlines. This is free, not optional HOW SELECTION WORKS 1. You submit the form below. 2. Everything in it is fact-checked. Every score, every award, every activity. One invented line and the application is closed, permanently. 3. Shortlisted applicants are interviewed. 4. Selected students and their parents sign an agreement setting out exactly what we owe you and exactly what we expect from you. We read applications as they arrive and seats close when they are filled. There is no advantage to waiting and no penalty for applying tonight. APPLY 👉 https://www.agorawriting.com/agora-aid Twenty-five seats. Read the form carefully. Answer it honestly. Agora × SATashkent × UNLOCK You Will Never Walk Alone.

🏛The honest answer to "why only 25?" is that in June we did not have enough people to do it properly. Admissions support is not a lecture hall. One mentor cannot carry fifty students and still read every essay draft at 1 a.m. So we spent the 2 month fixing the bottleneck. New to the Agora Aid team since June:Kelly Britt, a former admission officer at 😳Stanford, and at its Graduate School of Education. She was the reader. She gave the scores. Thousands of files. Now she reads yours before you send it. Review TeamAleksandra Avramenko, graduated from ❤️ Colby College, double major in Computational Biology and Music, minor in Computer Science. MentorAyazhan Abdiken, graduated from 😳Dartmouth College, BA and BE, double major in Structural Engineering and Music Composition. MentorKamila, studying at Washington and Lee University, full ride. Mentor And there are names we are not releasing tonight. When we do, you will understand why we waited. This is the strongest admissions team we have ever assembled, and it is not close. One thing, before tonight: If you applied in June and never heard back from us, you can apply again. If we did not contact you, you were not selected, and you should have been told that directly. Your old application is closed and carries no weight in this round, positive or negative. But do not resubmit the same thing and hope for a different result. If nothing in your profile has genuinely changed, the answer will not change either. If something has, a score, a project, a result, a summer of work, we want to see it. Applications open in 90 minutes. 🏛agorawriting.com

🏛In June we opened something called the AGORA AID PROGRAM. A full individual scholarship for university admissions. What the 25 selected students receive, free: — A dedicated admissions mentor assigned to them personally — A school list built around their profile, not a template — Essay development, from first brainstorm to final draft — Extracurricular and activity strategy — Interview preparation — Financial aid and scholarship strategy — Offer negotiation support Everything, basically. Total cost to the student: 0. Those 25 students are working with their mentors right now. Deadlines are in less than three months. The other 975 applications did not go anywhere. We still have them. There was only ever one thing standing between that (25) number and a bigger one. It was how many people we had who are good enough to do this properly. We spent the 2 month fixing exactly that. 19:00. 🏛agorawriting.com

1,000+ applications. 25 seats. That is an admission rate of under 2.5%. Harvard's was 3.6%. We are not proud of that number. Tonight. 19:00. 🏛agorawriting.com

🏛Her name is Kelly. For years, Kelly Britt read applications at 😳Stanford, in undergraduate admissions and at the Graduate School of Education. She was the reader. She gave the scores. Thousands of files, every major, plus a few degree combinations you didn't know existed. She has worked the other side of it too. Enrollment at the California College of the Arts. Advising at the University of San Francisco. Years sitting across the table from one nervous seventeen-year-old at a time. She joins our Review Team, which means she reads your application before you send it, the same way she read files at 😳Stanford. The activities you chose and the order you listed them in. What your file says about you when you are not in the room to explain it. Where you sound like everyone else, and where you don't. Then she tells you what is broken while you still have time to fix it. Most students learn their application was flawed in March, when the decision comes back and nobody explains why. You have chance to learn it now, from the person who used to make that call. Welcome, Kelly. Our students got lucky. 🏛agorawriting.com

A bit about the person joining us, before we make it official later today. She spent years reading applications for one of the most selective universities in the whole world. She was in the reading room, both undergrad and grad, where your whole file gets a number from one to six before the decision is made. She saw thousands of them applications. Every major, every kind of kid, from small towns to the other side of the planet. She can read your application and tell you why it's not working, the specific reason a reader loses interest, before that reader ever gets to it. For years she was that reader. 🏛agorawriting.com

The hard part of applying is doing it blind. You can spend a year building the whole thing, essay, activities, the story that ties it together, and never once hear from the only person whose vote counts. The one who sat in the room and said yes, or no, or "let's waitlist and see what spring looks like." Everyone else is guessing. You guess. Reddit argues at 2am. YouTube vidoes talks about a formula. The people who made the final decision almost never talk to applicants, because there are always forty more files to get through before midnight. So we went and found one of them. 🏛agorawriting.com

🏛You're writing for one reader in admissions world. And you'll never meet them. Every college essay has an audience of exactly one. The admissions officer who opens your file, reads, decides, and moves on to the next. They give it four minutes or five if your first line earns it. They've read thousands before yours. They already know your opening. The big family dinner. The winning goal in the last thirty seconds. The grandparent who taught you what really matters. And almost everyone writing one right now has never once heard how that reader actually thinks. You've been trained to write for admission mentors, rubrics, word counts. None of them is the person who decides. We've been trying to solve this problem for a while. There's a reason. 🏛agorawriting.com

🏆 Highlights from the Agora Football Cup! On July 26th, we organized the first sport event for our Agora Alumni. It was football. And it was free for all. Kalokagathia is an ancient greek concept about the unity of fitness with intellect. That, mental growth entails physical one too. And that's the unity our alumni sought as they gathered at 6pm on a Sunday evening. Football was first. But we'll have more. Tennis. Volleyball. Basketball. Kalokagathia should continue. @agora_writing
