First is that Quidax decides to take a bet on Wiki Cat now and support what is currently one of the biggest African-born crypto projects, with a market capitalization of around $56 million and more than 170,000 on-chain holders. They can list us while we are still at this stage, ride the wave with us along side their users as we continue to grow or They wait until Wiki Cat reaches a $1 billion market capitalization. They wait until the project becomes too big to ignore. They wait until Wiki Cat is being discussed across major international media platforms such as CNN and Bloomberg. Then, at that point, they decide to list us and present it as support for an African project. But by then, that support would mean far less to us.

Everywhere exchange I talk to, the story of Wakanda Inu keeps coming up. They are afraid of Nigerian projects. This is why SMC will be different. We have to lead the way and correct the wrongs of the past. Wiki Cat is not Wakanda Inu. Wiki Cat has already surpassed Wakanda Inu by virtually every measurable metric available for assessing the scale, strength, and progress of a crypto project. We have a larger on-chain holder base, a stronger market position, years of operating history, an active ecosystem, real products being built around the community, and a track record that can be independently verified on-chain. My position is that each African project should be evaluated on its own merits.

Update to my meeting with Quidax yesterday. So far, they are requesting for $10,000 in listing fees and $20,000 in market making arrangement. That is $10,000 in Wiki Cat and $10,000 in USDT. I have pushed back. Wiki Cat is not paying anything. I believe this will be mutually benefiting to both of us hence. I am waiting for a response. There is more that happened but that will be a story for another day that will be posted via my developer notes.

Lisk, which once positioned itself as a major supporter of Africa’s blockchain ecosystem, has shut down its blockchain. Base has also scaled back its push in Africa, and there are several other examples I can’t recall at the moment. We will continue to see stories like this until we start building and owning our own infrastructure instead of depending entirely on foreign platforms and foreign priorities. I have spent years building on BNB Chain and contributing real value to the ecosystem. Yet neither CZ nor BNB Chain has so much as acknowledged or liked a post, even times when Wiki Cat was, and is still one of the biggest things trending around BNB. But I genuinely don’t care, because our survival does not depend on recognition from anyone. We are doing well for ourselves.
