| 2 | Prince Albert pyramid, Scotland 🏴
Tucked deep within the forest of the Balmoral Estate in Royal Deeside lies a striking pyramid, emerging silently above the treetops.
Built by Queen Victoria as a tribute to her beloved husband, Prince Albert, it stands as a solemn memorial following his untimely death in 1861 at the age of 42.

| 20 | Los Caracoles Pass, on the Argentina–Chile border
The name Los Caracoles, meaning “Snails,” refers to this winding stretch along Ruta 60, which links Santiago, Chile with Argentina through the Andes.
Among more than 40 border crossings between the two countries, this one stands out as the most iconic. The ascent climbs from about 2,600 feet to over 10,500 feet, with 29 twisting hairpin turns. In winter, ice and snow make the drive treacherous.
The route treats you to stunning vistas, passing near Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America. The Chilean side is especially twisty, while the Argentine side is less steep.
The border is marked by the Cristo Redentor Tunnel, perched above 10,500 feet and stretching nearly 1.9 miles. It has been open since 1980 but often closes in winter due to falling rocks and snow. For adventure seekers, it’s a thrilling drive with unforgettable scenery.
