4	Results are Out ! Results are always the mixed bag of feelings. There are students who clear this Exam and then there are those who could not. Its not that who cleared are different from those who could not. Its just that it was their time, as Victor Hugo rightly pointed out decades back - Nothing can stop a thing whose time has come on this earth ! Having said this, can we just wait for our time to come ? Can we just dream of success without doing anything about it ? Perhaps NOT ! Its because, this Exam is not just about clearing PRELIMS or MAINS. So all those who could not make it and are left with attempts - 1. Decide - whether you want to continue this journey or not. 2. If you cannot decide it on your own - talk to people who have the experience of this journey and can genuinely guide you. 3. If you decide to leave this - its not a big thing. May be you will excel in some other area. Decide on it and pursue that with your heart and soul. 4. If you decide to continue this journey - be ready to work hard and that too consistently. Nothing worth;comes easy ! 5. Utilize this time to sharpen your skills of answer writing, content enrichment - this will give you confidence for next attempt. 6. Just remember- its not over until its over. At times, the last ball in the game.of cricket can change everything. So do you have the patience to play that last ball ??? My expectation (considering the CSAT effect into account) Gen: 79-83 OBC: 77-80 SC: 65-70 ST:63-65 It's quite obvious that a few questions will be dropped or in some questions UPSC may have a different interpretation, like in UAV, Rare earth elements, Micro-gravity (Few are considering SPaDeX correct but online resources say otherwise) Rest, Take 2-3 days off and then we need to start back the prepp for mains.	995

18	Check list for CSE-Prelims Exam tomorrow(25/05/2025) 1. ⁠ADMIT Card (with instructions) 2. ⁠Orignal Photo Id Card (as mentioned in Admit card) 3. ⁠Exam writing pad - to avoid bad bench in worst case. 4. ⁠Black ball pen (2 at least)- to fill Attendance Sheet details and OMR sheet 5. ⁠Water bottle (Most Important) 6. ⁠SIMPLE WRIST WATCH (Allowed as written in Instructions) 7. ⁠Chocolates/Sting/Red bull etc for instant energy before exam. 8. ⁠One-two photos if your admit card photo is not clear. 9. ⁠Other essentials: Umbrella + Sunglasses, Glucose, Spectacles (Chasma) × 2, Metro Card(if required), Meds(Paracetamol), Pain reliever spray (if required), Sanitary Pads (for Girls), One Bedsheet/Stole/Gamcha 10. ⁠Minimal cash 11. ⁠Common Sense, Presence of Mind & Self confidence (jo padha hai usme se aayega!) and Positive attitude. Make sure you reach your examination centre well before time. Gates close 30mins before the time. Also try to keep yourself safe from soaring heat in between GS & CSAT Paper. 19	Regarding CSAT- 1) CSAT is all about time management and right strategy. 2) There are 3 sections in CSAT - Reading Comprehension (RC), Logical Reasoning (LR) and Quantitative Aptitude. 3) Giving right time to every section is the key to success here. I used to divided my 2 hours in the following manner- Starting 40 minutes for RC (27Q) - next 20 minutes for LR (8-9Q) and last 1 hour for Quant - (16-17Q) 4) In this manner - I was able to grab low hanging fruits- 36Q from RC and LR in the starting 1 hour itself. 5) Secondly it used to give ample time to Quant - 1 hour. 6) Tips for Quant- not getting stuck and finding easy questions through regular scrolling is the way out here. Your goal is to attempt 16 Q around to make the attempt reach till 48- 52. 7) Easy sections of Quant- Percentage, profit and loss, speed and distance, time and work, Ratio and proportion, mixture and allegations- their average number of question amount to 16-17 that will help you in crossing the right and safe attempt! 8) Make your attempt in the multiple of 4 that is 4x - eg if your attempt is 47 make it reach till 48 that is the mathematical trick for optimum score in CSAT. 9) Gap time between GS and CSAT is also crucial- do not open telegram and start the search of answer keys (GS) - focus only on the next stage that is CSAT - if you have your short notes or formula sheets - revise that only! 20	Hi all, Tomorrow is finally your day where your efforts and hard work will be tested and rewarded accordingly. However there are some things to keep in mind which will help you in your final fight! 1) Starting 5 mins are extremely crucial in prelims examination- most of students are defeated in the starting itself. 2) Understand that the paper on 25th will be on the tougher side and that means you might not be able to answer - the starting 5-6 questions on page 1 - but let the feeling pass. 3) Focus on the process that you practised in the mock test- eg- I used to attempt paper in 5 iterations and used to start from Q1 itself. 4) Cutoffs, number of attempts (Questions) will automatically fall in place if you follow the process 5) Remember you can only control the controllables. 6) Time management is really important- make your time stamp before time itself. 7) Avoid OMR mistakes- if you have the practice of filling OMR in the end - then finish your paper atleast 5 -10 minutes before- to have the ample time. I used to fill OMR simultaneously to avoid the mistakes and anxiety in the end! 8) Thick Nib ball points make it easier to fill OMR and saves time - Rorito Fenta Flo / Reynolds Liquiflo. I have been using Rorito from past 3 attempts. 9) Finally confidence is the key to success in prelims- in the end it’s the fight of mindset. Be confident on the process and content that you followed.
