How to write a personal statement? πŸ—£ Yesterday, we conducted a masterclass with Jamshidbek Izzatulloh, who got into Vanderbilt with a full-ride scholarship, about writing a personal statement. He started the session by talking about his journey to Vanderbilt, why he chose to study in America, how he got interested in neuroscience. Then, he started to explain how to write a personal statement, the toughest part of the college application, dividing it into different parts. πŸ“ He focused on each part of the personal statement, taught us what to do, what not to do. He talked about common mistakes students make, like not being honest, trying to make themselves look impressive, starting to write it too early, or too late. Overall, he answered any question students may have had. πŸ“Œ He said "start writing reflections today," so a reflection about our session can be your first, feel free to leave your thoughts about yesterday's session in the comments. 🌐Telegram | πŸ“·Instagram
