The arrest of the co-founder of the Blum crypto project and former head of Binance in the CIS, Vladimir Smerkis, is likely related to his past projects, due to which investors lost at least $15 million. Smerkis' colleagues consider the accusations to be exaggerated. In 2017, he founded The Token Fund, one of the first crypto funds. Investors bought the TKN token for cryptocurrency, expecting to make a profit. The project attracted $8 million, earned on the market growth, but closed in 2018, leaving investors without funds. The next project, Tokenbox, raised $7 million. The TBX token appeared on two exchanges, quickly depreciated, and disappeared.

🤯 Blum co-founder Vladimir Smerkis was arrested on suspicion of fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention (clause 1, part 2, article 29, article 108 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation). We are waiting for confirmation from the Blum team. What effect could this have on the paws?
