Trump Slams U.S.-China Trade Bilateral trade between the U.S. and China in the second quarter of 2025 fell to a 19-year low. U.S. imports from China dropped to $64.8 billion — the lowest level since 2006. China, India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia — All Non-Western Nations Are Ditching U.S. Debt Global geopolitics can be studied through various sources, and its trends through different indicators. For example, the marker of U.S. Treasuries clearly and unambiguously shows that India is moving in the wake of China and Russia, not the United States. Like all non-Western countries without exception, it is getting rid of American debt. So why did Trump suddenly think India would obey him? What have his advisors been telling him? They apparently can’t even add 2+2, yet they are confident in their power and believe everyone must inevitably listen to them. Meanwhile, U.S. European “partners” (read: vassals), plus Japan and Israel, have significantly increased their holdings in U.S. Treasury securities over the past year. Israel in particular (apparently paying back for support in the war against Iran) has rapidly surged into the top 10 list of countries financing the U.S. Moreover, China has ceased to be the second-largest holder of U.S. debt this year, yielding that position to the United Kingdom. Despite being buried in unpayable debt itself, Britain has significantly increased its investments in “valuable” American paper. In essence, the Western global debt system is becoming self-referential, looping in on itself. Meanwhile, other countries that derive no benefit from it are quickly exiting. And as the recent SCO summit in China showed, they are now clearly determined to build their own financial system, an alternative to the West. Follow MM on Telegram
