Three Supplications Before the Taslīm — Seeking Refuge From Four: A Duʿāʾ Through Which Everlasting Happiness Is Attained! Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli حفظه الله

قَالَ الشَّيْخُ سُلَيْمَانُ الرُّحَيْلِي حَفِظَهُ اللَّهُ: Shaykh Sulaymān al-Ruḥaylī – may Allah preserve him – said: وَاللَّهِ وَبِاللَّهِ وَتَاللَّهِ إِنَّ كُلَّ خَيْرٍ فِي كُلِّ زَمَانٍ وَمَكَانٍ فِي اتِّبَاعِ مَنْ سَلَفَ فِي الْعَقِيدَةِ وَالْمَنْهَجِ وَكُلِّ أُمُورِ الدِّينِ، By Allah, by Allah, and by Allah: indeed all good, in every time and place, lies in following those who preceded in creed, methodology, and all matters of the religion, وَكُلُّ مَا خَالَفَ مَا عَلَيْهِ السَّلَفُ فِي هَذَا كُلِّهِ فَهُوَ بِدْعَةٌ وَلَا خَيْرَ فِيهِ، and everything that contradicts what the Salaf were upon in all of this is an innovation, and there is no good in it, فَكُنْ عَارِفًا ذَلِكَ، مُوقِنًا بِهِ، مُمَسِّكًا بِهِ، عَامِلًا بِهِ، دَاعِيًا إِلَيْهِ، so be knowing of that, certain of it, holding fast to it, acting upon it, and calling to it, وَلَا تَجْعَلْ شَخْصًا قَيِّمًا عَلَيْهِ، and do not make a person an overseer over it, وَإِنَّمَا اعْرِفْ لِمَنْ أَظْهَرَهُ فَضْلَهُ وَخُذْ دِينَكَ عَنْهُ وَعَنْ أَمْثَالِهِ، rather, recognize the virtue of the one who manifests it, and take your religion from him and from those like him, وَلَا تَحْصُرْ نَفْسَكَ فِي وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ، and do not confine yourself to one of them, فَهَذِهِ هِيَ السَّلَفِيَّةُ، for this is Salafiyyah, وَكُنْ حَسَنَ الظَّنِّ بِمَنْ عُرِفَ بِالتَّمَسُّكِ بِذَلِكَ، and have good opinion of those who are known for holding fast to that, وَاحْذَرْ مَنْ يَرْمُونَ الْعُلَمَاءَ بِعَدَمِ فَهْمِ الْوَاقِعِ، and beware of those who accuse the scholars of not understanding reality, أَوْ أَنَّ فَتَاوَاهُمْ سِيَاسِيَّةٌ، or that their fatwas are political, أَوْ أَنَّهُمْ يُفْتُونَ تَحْتَ الضُّغُوطِ، or that they issue fatwas under pressure, فَمَا كَانَ هَذَا اللِّسَانُ سَلَفِيًّا قَطُّ، for this tongue has never been Salafi at all, وَإِنَّمَا عُرِفَ عَنِ السُّرُورِيَّةِ، rather, it is known from the Surūrīs, وَمَا أَزْمَةُ الْخَلِيجِ عَنَّا بِبَعِيدٍ. and the Gulf Crisis is not far from us.

قَالَ الشَّيْخُ سُلَيْمَانُ الرُّحَيْلِي حَفِظَهُ اللَّهُ: Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: اللَّهُمَّ اكْتُبْ لِأَهْلِنَا فِي الْيَمَنِ أَمْرَ رُشْدٍ تُحْقَنُ بِهِ الدِّمَاءُ، O Allah, decree for our people in Yemen a matter of right guidance by which blood is spared, وَتُقَامُ بِهِ الْمَصَالِحُ، and by which interests are established, وَيَتَوَافَقُ عَلَيْهِ الْعُقَلَاءُ تَحْتَ ظِلِّ الرَّايَةِ الشَّرْعِيَّةِ، and upon which the people of reason agree under the shade of the legitimate banner, وَمَنْ انْعَقَدَتْ لَهُ الْبَيْعَةُ الْمُؤَكَّدَةُ، and the one for whom the confirmed pledge of allegiance has been established, وَبِمُعَاوَنَةِ قِيَادَةِ التَّحَالُفِ، and with the assistance of the leadership of the coalition, وَوَفِّقْ طُلَّابَ الْعِلْمِ فِيهَا لِلْعَضِّ عَلَى الْأُصُولِ السُّنِّيَّةِ الْبَهِيَّةِ بِالنَّوَاجِذِ، and grant success to the students of knowledge therein to cling firmly with their molar teeth to the radiant Sunnah principles, وَاجْمَعْهُمْ عَلَيْهَا. and unite them upon them. وَوَفِّقْ جَمِيعَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ لِإِدْرَاكِ أَنَّ خَيْرَ الْيَمَنِ فِي هَذَا. قال الشيخ سليمان الرحيلي حفظه الله Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: إذا صليت على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم واحدة صلى الله عليك عشرا If you send one ṣalāh upon the Prophet ﷺ, Allah sends ten ṣalāh upon you, وصلت عليك الملائكة ما دمت تصلي عليه and the angels send prayers upon you as long as you continue sending ṣalāh upon him, وكتبت لك عشر حسنات and ten good deeds are written for you, ومحيت عنك عشر سيئات and ten bad deeds are erased from you, ورفعت لك عشر درجات and ten levels are raised for you, وكلما أكثرت من الصلاة عليه كنت أقرب منه منزلة and the more you increase in sending ṣalāh upon him, the closer you become to him in rank, وأصبت طريق الجنة and you attain the path to Paradise, فأكثر من الصلاة عليه so increase in sending ṣalāh upon him, وزد ذلك يوم الجمعة and increase it even more on Friday. https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli

قال الشيخ سليمان الرحيلي حفظه الله Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: أيها المؤمن O believer, هل تهنئ أحدا لو احتفل بالكذب على عظيم عندك، أو احتفل بمصيبة في بلدك، أو احتفل بظلم؟ Would you congratulate someone if he celebrated lying against someone great in your sight, or celebrated a calamity in your land, or celebrated an act of oppression? أعرفت أنهم يحتفلون بأعظم ظلم وأقبح كذب Have you realised that they are celebrating the greatest oppression and the most hideous lie? قال ربنا Our Lord said: ﴿تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنشَقُّ الْأَرْضُ وَتَخِرُّ الْجِبَالُ هَدًّا ۝ أَنْ دَعَوْا لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَلَدًا﴾ “Whereby the heavens are almost torn, and the earth is split asunder, and the mountains fall in ruins, That they ascribe a son to the Most Gracious (Allah).” (Sūrat Maryam 19:90–91) https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli

قال الشيخ سليمان الرحيلي حفظه الله Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: إني لأسمع بالمرأة السلفية المتمسكة بالتوحيد والسنة ومنهج السلف والمعتزة بدينها في أي مكان من الأرض، Indeed, I hear of the Salafi woman who holds firmly to tawḥīd, the Sunnah, and the methodology of the Salaf, and who is proud of her religion, in any place on earth, فتعظم في عيني جدا وأدعو لها، and she becomes very great in my eyes, and I supplicate for her, فالزمن زمن غربة في معظم أنحاء الأرض، for the time is a time of estrangement in most parts of the earth, والاستقامة الصادقة صعبة على الرجال فكيف بالمرأة، and true uprightness is difficult for men—so how much more for a woman, ولكن لتبشر فكلما قوي الصبر عظم الأجر وحسنت العاقبة but let her receive glad tidings, for the stronger the patience, the greater the reward, and the better the outcome. https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli

قال الشيخ سليمان الرحيلي حفظه الله Shaykh Sulayman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah preserve him, said: ثلاثةُ أدعيةٍ احرصْ على المحافظةِ عليها في آخرِ صلاتك فرضاً كانت أو نفلاً، ففيها سعادةُ الأبد، Three supplications—be keen to maintain them at the end of your prayer, whether obligatory or voluntary, for in them is everlasting happiness, فإنَّ الله إن غفر ذنبَك، ووقاك شرورَ الفتن، وأعاذك من العذاب، وأعانك على ذكره وشكره وحسن عبادته، وهبك سعادةَ الأبد في الدنيا والآخرة: For if Allah forgives your sin, protects you from the evils of trials, shelters you from punishment, and aids you in His remembrance, gratitude, and excellent worship, then He has granted you everlasting happiness in this world and the Hereafter: (اللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أعُوذُ بكَ مِن عَذَابِ القَبْرِ، ومِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ، ومِنْ فِتْنَةِ المَحْيَا والمَمَاتِ، ومِنْ فِتْنَةِ المَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ) “O Allah, I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the grave, and from the punishment of the Fire, and from the trials of life and death, and from the trial of the False Messiah.” (اللَّهمَّ إنِّي ظلَمتُ نَفسي ظلماً كثيراً، ولا يغفرُ الذنوبَ إلَّا أنتَ، فاغفِر لي مغفرةً من عندِكَ، وارحَمني، إنَّكَ أنتَ الغفورُ الرَّحيمُ) “O Allah, indeed I have wronged myself greatly, and none forgives sins except You, so forgive me with a forgiveness from Yourself, and have mercy upon me; indeed, You are the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.” (اللهمَّ أعنِّي على ذكرِك وشكرِك وحسنِ عبادَتِك) “O Allah, help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best manner.” https://t.me/PearlsofRuhayli
