The Artisanal Auction officially opens back up September 18th! We have the most incredible pieces of true art and handcraft waiting to find their perfect homes. Our artists are generous and so very talented. This is a special and curated collection of items unlike anywhere else. There is also a fundraiser running as well and I am blown away by and so proud of our community!

The final pieces that I will send to the Artisinal Auction! This is a set of amber and pearl jewellery, made with Baltic cognac amber (which turns a beautiful red colour in the sunlight, as you can see!!) and freshwater pearls. the findings on this set are 14k gold.

🌾🏔️HAPPY ALBERTA DAY🏔️🌾 Here marks my most patriotic day of the entire year! 1st September, 1905, Alberta and Saskatchewan are cleaved apart and established as two separate provinces under the thumb of Wilfrid Laurier. These provinces were, briefly, a hypothetical province called Buffalo, and before that, part of a swath of land simply called the Northwest Territory; the northmost part of which still exists today under the same name. Laurier separated them, fearing that one province representing the breadbasket of Canada would be too hard to govern. Several years before that, Quebec received a boundary extension, paradoxically ᵕ̈ One is left to ponder the reasoning. In any case, Alberta is my home, through and through. I have travelled this province North to South, seen the towering Rockies and the rolling prairie, the badlands and the magnificent boreal forest. I was born here, and I grew up here, and I learned what it means to be FROM somewhere, here. I love everything about this land, from her bitter winters to her summer hail, from the hot July sun to the marshy April ground. I've never been to a place in Alberta I didn't love. From the Calgary Stampede to the winter sleigh rides in my hometown (still in sleighs pulled by lumbering Clydesdales, like days of old 😍😇) the true spirit of the Wild West is not lost in Alberta, and we hold it dear. Today, to both my fellow Albertans, and my sweet friends in Saskybush, have yourselves a wonderful day. Remember where you come from, and what we have to look forward to every day Sunna rises across this fair land. Happy 121st birthdays, to the twin powerhouse provinces of Canada 🥰💕🏔️🌾🐦‍⬛ PS. Final harvest for this year’s batch of Solkatt is complete. This will be hitting my shop in several weeks. Part of my auction bundle for the Artisanal Auction will be a full year of Solkatt. One bottle sent your way every single month! We are currently fundraising for a beloved family of artists who lost their home & possessions to a wildfire and planning an auction. When I say the items coming in for the upcoming auction are exquisite: I am absolutely not kidding! A beautiful reminder of the talent within our folk and the good hearts as well. When we move as one there’s so much we can accomplish!
