Poland's first three F-35A Husarz fighters arrived at the 32nd Tactical Air Base in Łask on 22 May 2026, making Poland the first former Warsaw Pact country and the first nation on NATO's eastern flank to operate a fifth-generation combat aircraft on home soil. The aircraft are part of a 32-jet order signed in January 2020 under a Foreign Military Sales agreement valued at approximately $4.6 billion, covering airframes, engines, training, and initial support.
