An effective way of reporting main features in map reports in grouping specific changes into general umbrella terms. Example Comparison ❌ Poor Overview (Too Specific): "A river, lake, and forest were removed. A school, hospital, and library were built. A football pitch, tennis courts, and swimming pool were added. There is now a car park, bus stop, and railway station." ✅ Good Overview (Using Umbrella Terms): "Overall, the area underwent significant development, with natural features being replaced by residential areas and various amenities. The most notable changes include the addition of transport facilities, recreational facilities, and several public institutions." The above worksheet is provides an excellent way of remembering which feature fall under the category of which umbrella term. Do give it a try.
