Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully launched the GSLV-F17 rocket carrying the advanced Earth observation satellite EOS-05. It is India’s first dedicated imaging satellite stationed in a geosynchronous orbit (~36,000 km above Earth).

State-run Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and France's Safran Helicopter Engines have finalized a landmark contract to jointly design, develop, manufacture, and maintain a new-generation high-power turboshaft (Helicopter) engine named ‘Aravalli.
