Travis AFB sends KC-46 across the Pacific to train with Misawa F-16s
On the 18th of Jun 2025, aircrews assigned to the 9th Air Refueling Wing and 60th Air Mobility Wing flew a KC-46A Pegasus to Misawa Air Base, Japan, showing the indispensable role of air refueling during an off-station training in support of F-16 Fighting Falcons assigned to the 14th Fighter Squadron (FS).
The trans-Pacific mission was part of a broader readiness exercise designed to enhance the 14th FS’s operational agility and validate rapid deployment capabilities across the Indo-Pacific region. The KC-46, the newest tanker aircraft in the Department of Defense, delivered fuel support to the F-16’s midair.

F-35B Lightning jets pictured in Singapore after HMS Prince of Wales' arrival in city state
"F-35B Lightning jets are on deck in Singapore as the UK Carrier Strike Group arrives for joint training and regional engagement,"
"RAF personnel stand ready as part of Op Highmast, showcasing unity and partnership across the Indo-Pacific."
The port call coincided with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the UK and Singapore.
The latest post follows the arrival of HMS Prince of Wales in Singapore.
It was not the first ship to come to the city, as HMS Dauntless had gone ahead of CSG25.
Her departure was strange as she would have usually remained close to the aircraft carrier.
Admin note: Anyone notice the 1 missing F-35B too? It's still stuck in India 😭

AVIC Releases Image of Pakistan Air Force Pilot Inside J-35A Stealth Fighter Cockpit
The caption accompanying the image on AVIC’s official channel simply reads: “The buyers give good reviews,” potentially hinting at the confirmation of Pakistan purchasing J-35s.
In a striking development underscoring deepening military ties between Islamabad and Beijing, a recent social media post by China’s Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) showed a Pakistani Air Force (PAF) pilot seated inside the cockpit of the J-35A fifth-generation stealth fighter.
The image, published days ago, further confirms that Pakistan has officially acquired the J-35A stealth fighter, marking a major strategic shift in the balance of power in South Asia, especially with the fact that India has yet to field any 5th generation fighters.
It also suggests that PAF pilots are already in China undergoing operational training on the J-35A, as previously reported by local defence media.

wreckage of one of the wings from the aircraft, it seems as if they tried to recover with flaps (can be seen in the flaps 5 position here, which was not present in the video), which means that they either took off without it (how? take-off config alarms exist, and they WILL blare), or retracted prematurely, which caused them to lose lift and sink immediately upon take off, and eventually leading to a stall/lack of altitude to clear obstacles.
