Trump Admin Asks Supreme Court To Allow Voter Citizenship Verification
The Department of Homeland Security rushed to the Supreme Court on Tuesday, asking permission to restart a system that states were using to check their voter rolls to identify potential noncitizens who registered to vote.
A district court ruled in June that the administration was violating privacy law by using DHS’ SAVE system as a voter check. The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld that ruling last week, spurring the Trump team to ask the justices to step in.
“The district court has issued an indefensible order that threatens the integrity of upcoming elections,” said Solicitor General D. John Sauer in his petition to the high court.
SAVE, or the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements, was created to check whether an immigrant was eligible to receive welfare. The Trump administration added new functionality so it could be used to run batch checks, rather than individual names, and to report back on purported citizenship status.

| 6 | A suspected underground Iranian nuclear site has seen a surge in construction this year, according to a review of satellite imagery published by US analysts on Wednesday.
The deeply buried site at Pickaxe Mountain is near Natanz where Western intelligence suspects Iran is building an undeclared enrichment facility.
Analysts at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a Washington-based think tank, reviewed satellite imagery spanning six years, the latest from August 9.
“Together, these images reveal more road activity at Pickaxe Mountain in 2026 than at any point in the site’s history,” the CSIS analysts wrote. “There is a clear surge in construction activity in 2026 that corresponds to the raising and hardening of the portal accesses, paving of the internal road network, reinforcement around access areas, and the flattening and removal of excavation spoil,” they added.

wo FBI agents' long-secret handwritten notes of their 2017 interview with Mike Flynn have been declassified and highlight fresh discrepancies with the bureau's official documents that were used to criminally prosecute President Donald Trump's first national security advisor and pressure him to reach a plea deal nearly a decade ago.
The notes from former Special Agents Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka were released Wednesday by the White House Government Transparency Task Force at a time when federal prosecutors are ramping up a grand jury investigation into whether the FBI's probe of Russia collusion amounted to a criminal conspiracy to falsely impugn Trump and his supporters during the 2016 election and its aftermath.
The contemporaneous notes show differences between what the agents wrote down when they interviewed Flynn on Jan. 24, 2017, and what was recorded in the official typed summary of the interview, known as an FD-302, that was entered into the FBI system more than 20 days later and later used to underpin his prosecution.
Flynn was charged in federal court in Washington, D.C., in November 2017 with one count of false statements to the FBI agents investigating allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 election.
According to prosecutors, Flynn “falsely stated and represented” to agents that he “did not ask the [Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak] to refrain from escalating the situation in response to sanctions the United States had imposed against Russia” for alleged 2016 election interference.
But Pientka's handwritten notes contain a tantalizing notation apparently attributed to Flynn in the interview about his conversation with Kislyak: "Hey, don't do anything."

On another September 11th front, Maggot Hagerman continues to say that I did not go to the New York World Trade Center event, but the Pentagon instead, because they wouldn’t let me speak in New York. Maggot knows that this is a lie! I have been to the New York solemn ceremony numerous times, and nobody speaks. It is a stated fact that, “Politicians and public officials are not permitted to deliver speeches or remarks at the official September 11 anniversary remembrance ceremony at the World Trade Center site in New York.” Certainly I would not want to violate that, even if I could. I speak enough, and it just so happens that the strong request was made for me to be at the Pentagon instead, with VP Vance handling our Administration’s representation in New York. Hagerman, unattractive both inside and out, fully knows that her story is made up. Let her reveal her sources, because they don’t exist. Again, speeches are not made at the New York event and, even if they were, I never asked to speak.
