Find mean even in death
Find mean even in death

If you're honest, you don't need to run or hide. Just stand still and wait, because the truth will set you free.

Maybe in the afterlife

Don't Wake Me Up. I'm Not Dreaming. The moment I finished my trimester exam, the moment I submitted the last question, I felt this immense surge of emotion. I was afraid, happy, sad, relieved, and stressed all at once. What was even stranger was how it all seemed to pile up inside me. It felt as though my heart was becoming a hundred-ton stone. Yet at the same time, I felt as though every bit of my being was being sucked inward, as if a spear had pierced straight through me. But it didn't ache. However, I finally stood up, carrying all this burden within me. Then I started walking. I got near the door and stood there for a brief moment. And all my memories came rushing back. From the first time I made a friend, through the moment I lost all my best friends, to my long moments of sorrow, I felt it all. Then, all of it vanished. All at once. The moment I stepped out of the exam hall, I simply walked as if nothing mattered. Nothing. My friends called out to me, but my ears couldn't give them any attention. For a moment, no one existed in this world except me. Their faces blurred, and their voices faded. I heard nothing, not even myself. Then I felt this urge to say bye. I felt this urge to say bye to my friend. So while she was with her friends, while she was in her own space, I went to her. It was as if my body was moving on instinct alone. I never go to people while they're in their own space. But here I was, pushing and shoving her friends aside just to say bye. Her friends were my friends too. We had spoken, and we had our own little pieces of memory together. Yet my body refused to acknowledge them. A moment later, I was standing in front of her. And just as quickly as I had reached her, I said: "Bye." To her. Then I kept walking away. But she knew one thing. Once, I had told her that when I say bye, I'm probably never coming back. So she came after me, leaving all her friends behind. And she said, "Why?" "Because I'm the past now," I replied. "The past is a burden, that which we should accept and let go," I added. Then she said, "What if, for me, you are not the past? What if, for me, you are my present and future? How can I let go?" she asked me. Then I replied, "What if I am the fantasy of how the future would look if we could change it? If we could fix the past?" I asked. "There is no past I regret to fix," she answered me.
