Two small rooms, a heap of books, and a young boy who turned down multiple opportunities to study at foreign universities and take high‑paying jobs so he could study in that tiny room. Every day he managed one meal himself; another meal was provided by his father. His mother was bedridden. The home environment was extremely tensed ,every day nurse coming to home ,every 3 months some minor surgery or treatment. Due to pending litigation, the home his father had bought with a loan never became theirs because of a real estate fraud. The financial situation was difficult because of that outstanding loan plus rent. The boy had no other option but to keep going: he cleared the prelims on his first attempt, wrote the mains while starting to work on the side. From his second attempt he worked at multiple institutes while preparing. He went from 56 kg, a fit person who played district‑level sports including football, to 87 kg, highly unfit. He underwent multiple surgeries, including one just a week before the mains exam in his second attempt. He became so emotionally weak that in one interview he was unable to speak for two minutes — all the pressure was mounting on him. He worked extremely hard, appeared in three civil services interviews, cleared five prelims under these circumstances, and created his own institute that helped thousands access affordable, quality education. The boy was me, and the problems were huge, but one thing I never learned was to go back or give up, no matter how hard the challenges were. If you are currently in my position, don’t worry — just keep persisting; magic will happen. Aditya ❤️
