Join DBNY for a teach-in and orientation on Thursday, September 3 to learn more about the campaign. We will be reviewing the history of the campaign, tactics used, and our strategic targets. We will discuss the difference between mobilizing and organizing and how we can remain steadfast to the struggle for Palestinian liberation. The teach-in will cover the greenwashing that the Brooklyn Navy Yard participates in to cover up its complicity in militarization, genocide, and fascist deportation.
Come and connect with fellow organizers, neighbors, and community members and learn how you can get involved with the campaign. We will have a section for testimony and letter writing for the next BNYDC board meeting on September 23rd.

Join us this Wednesday, August 26 from 4:30-6:30 PM at Navy St + Sands St, Brooklyn, where we’ll be doing outreach and having longer discussions with workers/tenants at BNY and neighbors at the NYCHA Farragut Houses.
Instead of living up to its mission to contribute to the greater good, the Navy Yard houses multi-million dollar companies that profit from genocide and white supremacy while contributing to the gentrification of the neighborhood by expanding their fascist technology hub. Our fights are connected, and it is the responsibility of all of us to get organized and fight the displacement and genocide of our communities on Turtle Island and across the world by disrupting the supply chain of the u.s. zionist war machine.
We must continue the struggle to EVICT CRYE PRECISION and force BNY to cut ties with all war, genocide, and deportation profiteers so that it is truly a yard for the people. From Gaza to NYC, it is our duty to fight for the people by evicting Crye Precision and demilitarizing Brooklyn Navy Yard.

| 9 | DBNY held a picket on Wednesday August 19th, outside of Building 77 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard (BNY) as part of our weekly actions. Protestors, BNY workers, and neighbors who joined the picket stayed for over 2 hours to disrupt business as usual--making noise and flyering. Instead of listening to the demands of the people, the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) refuses to take action against one of their tenants, Crye Precision. This company supplies ICE and the IOF, contributing to violence against our communities here and abroad. At the picket there were at least 6 NYPD cars along Flushing Avenue, with SRG officers stationed inside with BNY security. The BNYDC and the City of New York continue to use the NYPD to protect genocide and deportation profiteers.
DBNY knows how the struggle for Palestinian liberation connects to the struggle here in Lenapehoking. The same surveillance tactics that are used against Palestinians by the IOF is used against protestors by the NYPD TARU unit and their drones. The IOF trains the NYPD and they bring the same repressive tactics here against protestors and Black and Brown communities. DBNY will not stop and will not rest until Crye Precision is kicked out and the Navy Yard is demilitarized.

| 14 | On August 5, DBNY held a picket and noise demonstration outside of Building 77 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard as part of our Week of Rage. Despite the rain, protesters came out to demand that the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) evict Crye Precision, a company that supplies ICE, the israeli occupation forces (IOF), and the u.s. military. The ICE SRT agents that were at Delaney Hall brutalizing hunger strikers and their families were wearing gear made at the Brooklyn Navy Yard (BNY). From New Jersey to the Bronx to Brooklyn, comrades came from all over to make their voices heard. Protestors stayed for over two hours in the rain, chanting and making noise loud and clear to let BNY know that we will continue to show up until they stop supplying genocide and deportations. Powerful revolutionary music was played by the Rude Mechanical Orchestra that many workers appreciated. After the rain ended, activists left messages in chalk to remind everyone of the role BNY plays in terrorizing communities here and abroad. | 36 |
