Max the Menace

THE RESULT FROM US./ stay stronger and keep pushing. Rainy sunday at Spa, a mixed Race after a delayed start and changing conditions. Max finishes in P4, Yuki brings it home in P13. Eyes onto Hungary (soon)

🤩In the end, P4 was the best we could 🤩do today. Not what I wanted, but that’s 🤩racing. There’s work to do and we’ll 🤩come back stronger 🔥

🤩 Honestly, it was a frustrating race. We expected a proper wet Grand Prix, so we went with a rain-focused setup, more downforce, especially on the rear wing. But once the rain stopped and the track dried, that setup really held us back. I didn’t have the straight-line speed to fight, especially against Charles. I wasn’t necessarily stuck behind him the whole time, maybe just on the intermediates, but later we had similar pace. Still, I couldn't really launch an attack. The balance just wasn’t there. We had understeer, high tyre degradation, and overall not enough grip to push. Even in the corners, where you’d expect to gain time with more downforce, we didn’t manage to make up anything. That made the whole race quite tricky.

The clipping in the main straight is fucking so hit, it's so bad.

For me this is like 10x better than Silvertone, easily

But honestly i'm very happy with the Sprint win today. Thank you to the home crowd! Unfortunately a tricky qualifying, but anything can happen in the race 💪🏻🔥

We changed enough to the car for the rain, but it didn't bring what I wanted in terms of balance in the car.

We changed some thing with the tyres, and that didn't work, at all. So yeah, a bit dissapointing. Otherwise, we would've been closer.

🤩 🤩We had two runs in qualifying. The first one didn’t go great, too much wheelspin off the line. The second run was better after we made some changes, but the gap to McLaren was still there. I know what’s realistic, and today, third place was our limit. But no stress. I’m just being honest and having a bit of fun. I’m focused on the race. Let’s see what we can pull off tomorrow. 🤩
