California&Puerto Rico to finish the summer
Itβs been exactly one year since I came to the US
So far it was nice:
13 states visited + Puerto Rico
2 semesters Deanβs List
Met some of the best people in college
Nice summer internship
Met some of my students who got into colleges here in the US
Going back to Colby now. This semester I will have more free time and if you are applying to colleges this cycle dm me @said_cote and Iβll check all your essays/sups (for free, but send ready files and if you have something ready only pls, resume/cv/some essays or context/grades with test scores and so on). Iβll give comments on everything. Thinking of closely working with 1/2 people this cycle on their applications as well

Repost from Boburjon's Blog
Lots of students always ask me, what is the best way for me to show to American universities that I am ready to be academically challenged. There are so many ways by which you can show that you are cracked. Great examples would be 1500+ SAT, 34+ ACT, multiple APs, if you are lucky (or rich) you also could do A levels.
However, the best possible way to do is via showing that you survived the most academically challenging curriculum for high schoolers: IB.
Now, there are multiple IB schools even here in Uzbekistan. Yet, if you hear their prices, you would just feel ashamed to even ask your parents to pay for those enormous fees. So what to do? Apply to UWC. UWC is an outstanding program which is not just going to provide you with IB courses, but also will help you to demonstrate to top unis that you were selected among thousands of students, let alone lived abroad alone and fostered your independence.
For the last 3 years now, Iβve been involved in UWC myself. For the very last selection process which ended this spring, 3 out of 5 βwinnersβ (also known as nominees) were my students. This made me think if I could possibly outperform my last yearβs results this year, and I decided to challenge myself.
I will be selecting the most ambitious students from Uzbekistan and prepare them to become the finalists of UWC. If you want to be one them, send your CV to @Boburjon_work. I will select specific amount of students for the interview stage, followed up by selecting 10 students to prepare overall. The last day to send your CV is going to be August 16. Hurry up!
P.S, you have to be 16-17 in order to apply, so take this into consideration.
