[BR] The Inner Game of Tennis by W. Timothy Gallwey (late post) saw the title multiple times, so decided to give it a go even tho i don’t play tennis, finally finished this a few days back! couldn’t relate to the tennis analogies (most of the book) which made it harder to get through. my skill issue tho, not the book’s. that said, it’ll be rated a bit lower for me. there are still lessons to take aside from tennis. main takeaways: - self 1 (the thinking, judging mind) constantly interferes with self 2 (the body that already knows how to perform) -> the goal is to quiet self 1 - trying harder and overthinking actively makes performance worse - awareness without judgment, art of relaxed concentration fav quotes:

Good share, would be interested to see the change from 2016 to 2026. I would bet this is largely due to the fact that more successful men ($ wise at least) are more attractive to women thus have more dating options and are most likely to get married. The less successful men will have a harder time finding a wife and thus more likely to be single. Probably the reason there’s such a big gap is the combined effect of successful men are more likely to get married and married men pushing harder to provide a better life for wife and kids.
