After 25 minutes, Kurt apparently got frustrated and broke part of the stage with his guitar. It is unclear whether the band performed the whole of their set. October 27, 1993 - Kalamazoo, MI, US Nirvana performs at Wings Stadium. According to a newspaper review, Nirvana played for a crowd of about 4,700. The show was about 75 minutes long, with a 15 minute encore of mostly acoustic songs, according to a review. During "School," rather than playing the solo, Kurt pushed his guitar into the amps and fell down, according to an attendee. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was not played. At the end of the set, as the crowd was beginning to leave, Kurt came back onstage to announce a special guest, Everett True. Kurt and Krist then got behind the drum kit and started banging away while Everett did vocals on "Do Nuts." 📽️2: Clips (with no audio) appear on the official DVD With The Lights Out. This is one of my favorite photos of him. Everybody talks about Kurt as the great musician who was tortured and talented. They talk about his drug addiction and they talk about the dark side of him. But I got to experience another side. This was such a cute moment, playing with Frances. He loved her.
