Many cases in Indonesia are rife with scams where the scammer sends a "Ransomware Lockscreen" application.
What is a Ransomware Lockscreen?
It's an application that locks the victim's device usage. To remove it, you have to pay the perpetrator and enter a code (although this is a scam).
So, I'm going to create a similar application for educational purposes only. I don't know if cases like this are unique to Indonesia or worldwide.
In this application, I'll show you how to remove this application when the user is locked out of my application, using exactly the same method as the "Ransomware Lockscreen" application in circulation.
Indonesia Becomes the First Non-Western Country to Ban Social Media for Kids Under 16!
Today, March 6, 2026, Indonesia's Minister of Communications and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, announced a groundbreaking policy :
- Social media accounts for children under 16 will be deactivated starting March 28, 2026.
- This makes Indonesia the first non-Western nation to implement such strict age restrictions on high-risk platforms following in the footsteps of countries like Australia but pioneering in the Global South.
Key Details:
Affected Platforms in YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X (Twitter), Bigo Live, and Roblox. Accounts detected under 16 will be shut down gradually.
Why? To protect kids from real threats: exposure to pornography, cyberbullying, online scams, and addiction. As Meutya Hafid said:
