You Must Include this if you got any question related to Balance of Power in the Upcoming Mains (You might get a question on its relevance) • T.V. Paul, Michel Fortmann, and John Wirtz, in their book Balance of Power: Theory and Practice in the 21st Century, concluded that there is very little possibility of operationalizing traditional balance of power politics today. • Balancing against the USA would be dangerous and costly, so the only real option is soft balancing. • In the present context, the threat to a nation's security often comes not from other nations but from non-state actors like terrorists. • To deal with them, nations go for options like pre-emptive wars (the Bush Doctrine) or cooperation, for example the US-Russia cooperation in Afghanistan against the Taliban. • Realists call this a new form of balancing, asymmetrical balancing, where nations come together against common threats. To the aspirant nobody asks about Nobody claps for the version of you that studied through a fever because Prelims was ninety days away. Nobody saw you mute the family group chat on the day your friend posted his promotion. Nobody knows that you read the same Laxmikanth chapter four times because your mind was somewhere else, grieving a life you paused. The world will only meet you at the result. If your name appears in the list, they will call it luck or coaching. If it does not, they will call it a waste. Either way, they will never see the actual substance of these years. The 5 AM alarms in winter. The birthdays you attended half present. The quiet violence of comparing yourself to a batchmate who cleared it in one attempt. Here is what I want you to hold on to. This exam is not only building an officer. It is building a person who can carry weight in silence. That skill, the ability to keep walking when no one is watching, no one is proud, and no one even asks, is rarer than any think. Your transformation is invisible today. But invisible is not the same as meaningless. The strongest aspirants are not the ones with the best notes. They are the ones who kept their dream alive through complete emotional silence. Keep going Brother and Little Sister. Dont know about others but I can understand and relate. ~Ankit Rana

Yes, PSIR Paper 2 is scoring too, but you need someone who used the right approach. Like many others she was confident in Paper 1 but could only score 121 in it, but as she didnt ignore paper 2 (used my Crash Course Lectures and Content) she got 150 in Paper 2 and got overall score of 271 which helped her to get into top 100. P.s: she also joined some other crash courses associated with big institutes, but she was smart enough to leave the unnecessary bulky lectures and was fortunate enough to find PSIR Compass Lectures that finally helped her to score 150 in Paper 2.
