🪙🇰🇷The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) of South Korea is stepping up its oversight of local crypto exchanges. The FSS has developed a system for round-the-clock monitoring of domestic cryptocurrency exchanges to detect suspicious activity in the digital asset market. Starting July 19, the Law on the Protection of Virtual Asset Users comes into force, obliging virtual asset service providers to keep more than 80% of deposits in cold storage, protecting users' funds. Crypto companies must also provide insurance programs to compensate users for losses in case of security breaches.
