Face and Mouth Examination Eyes: Conjunctival pallor yellowish Sclera (best seen in natural daylight) Mouth: Oral mucosal pallor Central cyanosis Oral hygiene Hydration status Gingivitis 3. Hand Examination Look for: Palmar pallor Peripheral cyanosis Edema IV cannula (site,size ,color and signs of thrombophlebitis) Capillary refill time 4. Leg Examination Look for: Pedal edema (unilateral or bilateral) Severity and extent of edema 5. Vital Signs Assess: Blood pressure (BP) Pulse rate Respiratory rate (RR) Temperature

before start Examination: Introduce yourself. Confirm patient identity. Obtain consent. Explain procedure. Ensure privacy. Wash hands. Chaperone if required.
