There are Audis that we all know, and then there is AUDI – a brand without rings that the Germans created together with the Chinese from SAIC. And that turned out to be a shot in the foot.
The AUDI E5 Sportback and the E7X SUV were not supposed to be sold in Germany at all. But the magic of parallel imports does its part.
For example, the AUDI E5 Sportback starts at 210,000 Yuan (~ 26,300 Euros) in China. In Germany, the car is priced at almost 60,000 Euros.
This means that the price for AUDI nearly doubles after all expenses. Yet they remain cheaper than Audi for the German market.
For comparison: The German S6 Sportback e-tron starts at 99,500 Euros – and it has less power than the Chinese AUDI E5 Sportback.
The SQ6 e-tron will cost at least 93,800 Euros, which is about 21,000 Euros more expensive than the imported AUDI E7X.
