8 September 2026 Important current affairs. Today an important environment topic has been covered, important because UPSC had shifted its focus on trend based questions for example the CO2 emission trend was asked in 2025 & in 2026 GHG emission (in LT-LEDS question). And also it's a UNEP report so it becomes more important. On a daily basis we are covering current affairs in a handwritten format including all such PYQ related observations. Indus Waters Treaty- India rejects arbitration ruling India has rejected the latest ruling of the Hague-based Court of Arbitration on the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), calling the tribunal “illegally constituted” and saying it has no jurisdiction over India’s sovereign decisions. The Court held that India’s decision to put the Treaty in abeyance was not permissible and that the 1960 Treaty remains in force. India, however, maintains that the Treaty remains in abeyance following the Pahalgam terror attack and Pakistan’s support for cross-border terrorism. There is a strong link between water security, national security and India-Pakistan relations. International Relations for CSE

Hello everyone, Important learnings from mains 2026 ,After all the Mains paper conducted recently, one thing is clear again & again that UPSC gives hints about the Questions on which UPSC will focus upon more, In 2025 Prelims UPSC asked Question on Indus valley & Chola Dynasty Same topic repeated In Mains 2025 . In 2026 Prelims Question was asked on Disabilities Act,CBDC, Financial Inclusion index, Agentic AI and Same topics Have been repeated in Mains. This means PYQs are the single most important thing for UPSC. If you See the 10 August 2026 Current affairs notes in it's importance message I have written that Energy security is important even that topic is asked in this years Mains however the main message was below it where I have written Mangrove is important for this year Mains because it was asked in Prelims 2026 , it was not a prediction , it was to tell you the importance of PYQs , Fir chahe wo Prelims ke ho ya Mains ke . One thing I find very Strange in the coaching industry that after every paper they say UPSC ne paper ka pattern badal dia, & Immideatly they start selling their courses as best in the market, Howcome the course which is every time not on the Same Pattern As UPSC can be best? But we can't do much about it as it's a shock value that attracts aspirant . But I feel it's your job to understand this Pattern and have the thorough understanding about the exam. That's why I keep telling you the importance of every topic, like before Prelims I repeatedly keep saying that Nuclear prograam is important as kalpakkama plant has achieved the criticality and covered it in Current affairs notes but it was not asked in Prelims , but guess what it is asked Mains this year. All that Integration of topics thing does not come in 1-2 months ,as I have seen many start reading PYQs 1-2 month before exam, it is not going to be of much help, it takes daily efforts to read topic and integrate with PYQs and know their relevance for exam , that's why you get daily topics importence message for current affairs and it's your Resposibility to use this Strategy in all sphere of your prep. "we are taking care of this for your current affairs part, rest is on you so do it definitely. " For new members Click here to check about current affairs initiative.
