A frog-strangler - heavy downpour of rain (мощный, продолжительный ливень. Такой, что кажется, что лягушки могут захлебнуться). It's nice out now, but the weather app is warning me that there'll be a frog strangler tonight.
It's raining cats and dogs - a way to describe particularly heavy rain (льет как из ведра). There's no way they'll be playing in the park - it's raining cats and dogs!
I'm soaked - I'm extremely (dripping) wet (промок до нитки). My shoes are soaked!
Good weather for the ducks - дождливая погода, буквально "чудесная для уток". Идиома использовалась Паддингтоном в первом фильме.

Drizzle - light rain with very fine drops (моросит). Yes. it's raining but it's only a drizzle.

I finished a portrait today, of a very brave kid, Pedro Cueto, a cancer survivor, who races nationally and internationally despite losing his leg to cancer. He is a true hero and a strong inspiration. And he was happy to see his portrait, it made my day.
