Our CEO, Jongsik Lee, who led both 충전돼지(Web2) and Piggycell(Web3), unexpectedly passed away last week following a sudden cardiac arrest while driving. This tragic loss came without warning, and our entire team is deeply saddened. We extend our sincere condolences and respectfully honor his memory. Following his sudden passing, the company has been navigating an exceptionally challenging period. Alongside broader market conditions, we believe some of the recent selling pressure has also reflected uncertainty surrounding these circumstances. We fully understand the concerns within the community and do not take them lightly. To ensure business continuity, the Vice President of 충전돼지 is serving as Acting CEO while we complete the legal process of establishing a new Board of Directors and preparing for the upcoming shareholders' meeting. Although these procedures must remain confidential until finalized, we will share all major decisions with the community as soon as they are confirmed. We also acknowledge the communication concerns raised by many community members. While our weekly updates have been intended to improve transparency, we recognize they have not always been timely enough. Going forward, we will focus on proactive communication by providing advance notice whenever possible regarding maintenance, updates, and important developments. Following a successful launch, Piggycell quickly became one of the market's most recognized projects before experiencing a security incident during a critical stage of global expansion. To protect our users, we repurchased all affected tokens and completed a 1:1 token swap despite significant operational challenges. A considerable portion of today's circulating supply is related to those recovery efforts, and we have continued conducting buybacks to strengthen the ecosystem. These decisions required balancing investor relationships with the project's long-term sustainability, but protecting our users remained our highest priority. Piggycell has publicly disclosed its token structure on CoinMarketCap, and all major wallet addresses are publicly available. Based on our current understanding, the recent selling activity primarily originates from investor allocations. Security Incident Recovery Plan & Token Migration We want to sincerely apologize for the stress and losses this incident has caused our holders. Here’s what we’ve confirmed so far and how we’re moving forward. After reviewing on-chain and exchange data, we confirmed that 20,000,000 $PIGGY was illegitimately minted, and due to compromised private keys, a total of 20,312,298 $PIGGY was released into the market. Our focus is simple: protect holders, prevent a repeat, and restore stability. Throughout this process, we’ve been working closely with Binance, and we’re incorporating Binance-aligned security guidance as we redesign both the contract and our operational controls. ⚡️What we will do next ✔️ New contract + security rebuild We will decommission the current contract and deploy a new $PIGGY contract with a stricter privilege model and additional safeguards. A third-party audit is already in progress. For the recovery, issuance will be BSC only, with a total supply of 100,000,000 $PIGGY. ✔️ Snapshot-based 1:1 migration Snapshot time: Dec 5, 2025 — 13:00 UTC (aligned with our public announcement timing). All holders at the snapshot time are covered, excluding attacker-related wallets. On-chain holders will receive a 1:1 swap based on snapshot balances. For CEX users, we will provide the required amounts to participating exchanges and request a 1:1 credit to user accounts. Tokens acquired after the snapshot time are not eligible. ✔️ Buyback + re-lock To restore market integrity, we will conduct a buyback. All bought-back tokens will be re-locked and released only according to the token release schedule. We are providing an interim update on the security incident that occurred on December 5 and our ongoing response. We have confirmed that the sharp price drop around 8:40 PM on December 5 was driven by the large-scale sale of $PIGGY tokens that were unlawfully minted by an external attacker. We are coordinating closely with all relevant parties to keep trading controls in place, implement deposit and withdrawal restrictions as needed, and strengthen monitoring of wallets and transactions linked to the attacker. We have formally reported the incident to the National Police Agency and KISA and will visit the National Police Agency on Monday to fully support the investigation. This was a clear external attack and is not related to any internal leak or misconduct by the Piggycell team. We will proceed with an independent external audit and a comprehensive review and reinforcement of our security systems. We will share further confirmed updates through our official channels as soon as they are available. Until then, we strongly advise you to refrain from trading $PIGGY. We identified an abnormal large-scale unauthorized minting of $PIGGY tokens from one of our project wallets, and immediately activated our emergency response protocol under strong suspicion of a security breach. Upon detecting the incident, our team promptly requested all listed exchanges to suspend trading and restrict deposits and withdrawals. We are closely monitoring on-chain activity in real time to prevent any further damage. This incident was caused by a malicious external attack.
