Captain cited Dan Boneh's Zether paper, Pedo Thief worked with Boneh, both Stanford, for Pedo Thief competition is for suckers and Dero has unique tech, fits his investment strategy

No wait, even better: I've access to the smatest engineers in the world and there is no bug. Please fix your internet connection, plebs

We tell them we're fixing a bug but in reality we're adding a bug. 😂 Jeffrey: So smat so smat, you guys are so smat, the smatest engineers in the world. Let me issue a statement I've access to the smatest engineers in the world and even they can't fix this bug. Please be patient, plebs

Tel Aviv School of Cryptography

Just put a bug in the node to throw off all user nodes, that allows you to direct all transactions through our nodes to monitor traffic Ok sir but what if we get too many requests for update? If some looney insists just tell them human error, engineers are working, let them wait What if they figure it out and accuse us of doing this to trace the transactions of those who buy the ultra low dip? just keep denying it, post a bug report, discard them as paranoid conspiracy theory talk Are you sure sir? Of course, we've people who study this stuff and the best engineers are ours, we've endless capacities and if someone's theory gains traction they've no credibility anyway we will push back harder don't worry 🫡

Make sure to read the report fellas, it's excellent forensics. I've verified the known numbers myself and everything checks out so far, of course this doesn't cover the unencrypted transactions, that's where the real risk lies for now https://derofoundation.co/press/PUBLIC-EXPLAINER.html#figures 中国读者请务必阅读 Dero 基金会的报告。语言问题可使用翻译工具解决。 这是重要情报,务必重视。

Imagine for a moment you launch the next Bitcoin, you're part of the team, it's your magnum opus. Your first and only objective is to accumulate, your instinct pushes you to not want others to make more money than you off your tech (although in crypto it's not really yours, but of everyone that appreciates/understands it). So the accumulation game begins and your first priority as "insider" is to accumulate on the way down. Your second priority is to accumulate on the way up. If you have very strong fundamentals and a great product-market fit, then the winning strategy is to be toxic, not to be friendly. You want people to hate you, if they hate you they're more likely to forget about the tech and sell their coin share (to you) out of spite. The weakest players will sell on the way down. But the really dumb ones will also sell early on the way up thinking they're doing damage when in reality they're just minimizing your acquisition cost before you show your real hand and the real distribution begins. Therefore being toxic during accumulation serves you well also when the tide turns, because on the way up your haters are more likely to be guided by personal animosities and forget about the tech, making them propense to sell out of spite "to teach you a lesson". Of course, this is a message to my besties, the angry Neos. What I'm saying is do not be foolish, it's all a manipulation game to minimize the cost of taking coin share from you. I personally think of the gaming process as 1 minute chess, time is important, but finding the right move/focusing on not missing a mate when your opponent makes a mistake is how you consistently win games long term. Mind games have a lot of momentum, things flow quickly, you get caught up in irrelevant details that have nothing to do with the tech, product market fit etc. Like in 1 minute chess where your first instinct, as a beginner, is to move quickly and win on time, here too you can get caught up in a reaction loop that leaves you stranded in the end. Focus on DERO's tech, and remember you can win on time but when your opponent makes a mistake all it takes is one move to end the game in your favor. Don't be angry. Just buy and sit tight. It's a check mate.

Trying to fight it is just pointless and exactly what manipulators would want you try and do. So you end up liquidating yourself in the process. Also, even if it is all manipulation, don't be angry. What did you expect from the next bitcoin, to roll out the red carpet to welcome you? Don't be angry that you were tested, be happy that maybe you passed the test. Don't be sad that it happened, be happy that it ended. Whatever resonates with you. iykyk.

To all the angry Neos out there, as your captain I've some important insight to share. Dero is bigger than me you or whoever triggered you in the community or the Foundation. I'm the angriest Neo of you all, and even I am not so dumb as to take anything personally. Dero is the REDO and IMO the supply will never really change, it will forever stay 21M any additional coins will be burned. This is my conviction and not backed by anything right now other than my knowledge of the tech. Game Theory. Even the guy who minted a gazillion coins cannot kill it, because if he did that then he'd be left with BTC and XMR (both traceable from A to B). Because whoever exploited DERO knows very well how easy it is to trace XMR, if you know the tech you know that's inevitable. So yeah, it makes no sense IMO that he kills dero.

Well, well, well. I read the Dero Foundation reports and I've to say I'm impressed. For the first time after 3 years of closely following Dero I finally feel respected again. Respected as a reader. Respected as a privacy enthusiast. Respected as a risk manager. Respected also as a trader and investor. Something has changed, the report is not the usual vague nonsense wrapped in hopium that has been coming out of Dero community devs recently. This is a real report, truly transparent, no hopium, just pure math and facts with no regard or fear of who is left standing and who may fall as consequence of it. Maybe the hardfork had a cathartic effect on the foundation, or maybe they did some changes in there for whatever reason. But these are exactly the type of changes investors love. This is the kind of transparency that risk takers want to see in a project to start to take it seriously. Now some are saying "insiders" did it, and attributing that theory to me. Well, insider is a big word. What I mean is that whoever exploited DERO operates on the same level as Captain. If you read my Satoshi article/analysis you know that crypto history shows how the most advanced minds tend to connect and coalesce around anonymous identities to produce important breakthroughs in privacy (Bitcoin>Cryptonote>DeroHE). I think forensics unequivocally show that this attacker follows DERO closely and knows it well enough to start mining and exploiting rather quickly, as soon as he is given a hint of what could be wrong. His knowledge even more advanced than that of Marcel who obviously underestimated them (best case scenario). The report clearly establishes a floor, and admits that there is no upper bound. Also the supply will be verifiable by any node. So if you stopped following/reading the Dero Foundation in the past 3 years, this is probably a great time to start following them again. Just my 2 cents of course. Man, I might even retire now that the DF is back in business. Looks like I can just trust them because they're no longer playing games.

Dero devs and the inflation bug 😂

Next time top g if you want to fud with an inflation exploit, keep a higher mcap to make it credible. Take care of timing better. If you want to FUD with scam, don't give holders 3 years to study the tech. I met with a phd guy doing some phd about Solana MPCs and HE solutions and turned out I knew more than him about the trade offs. What surviving DERO fud taught me. Manipulation to work must happen quickly, you can't space it out every 6 months and expect it to work. All it takes is a little bula with little horns and a good sense of smell and the word spreads. You were slow, leaked too many patterns and the entire thing was way too predictable. Just my 2 sats/cents/pennies ofc.

Oh and as far as I'm concerned, nonKYC/CEXes are colluding with the entity that lost coin share in DERO. I mean normally exchanges just say we're delisting coin X. They don't rant about how bad the situation is and how convinced they're there is an inflation bug or tell you it's 2026 and you can kill coins with AI. The lines are blurring because we've broken something important in the matrix, you wouldn't see these huge cracks 😉

The important thing to understand is that the entity that lost the accumulation war controls all the extra minted coins, it's not an unknown third party. And they want you to know that they minted, because this is the ultimate nuke FUD, minting however doesn't mean those coins are entering circulation. Going forward there are 2 scenarios: 1) You/holders fall for the FUD, and give back/dump your hard earned DEROs for pennies because the entity that lost coin share used the contingency plan and minted extra coins. Once you do that, they will take back what they lost in the battlefield, and then fix the credibility by burning the extra minted coins and come out on top. How they do that doesn't matter, could be like a white hat hacker will come out and say hey I did it but Dero is cool and I burn the coins in this transaction and so on and so forth. This is the ideal outcome for them: get back all coin share, prove the FUD wrong only after everyone has fallen for it and dumped thei coins. 2) Scenario 2: If you don't fall for the FUD, they will have to decide whether to still do the burn or just hold them, maintain this dark cloud hovering over everyone's heads forever. If scenario 2 happens then that will cap Dero's upside forever, but losses will be socialized. I can tell you what I will do: hold and ignore it all as FUD. It's just FUD.

Why is the Matrix breaking? I'll try to keep it short: 1) I think a certain entity within DERO lost their accumulation war (or maybe they are simply playing hardball). But Occam's razor says they took suppression too far and they lost coin share. 2) As result they had to use a contingency plan to get back coin share in case FUD didn't work. So they did HF3 and announced a bug. 3) If it was a real inflation bug, they'd have patched it immediately they wouldn't have given 1 week head warning. 4) The reason they gave 1 week head warning is to maintain deniability over who exploited it, and because any exploit of this bg was very easy to detect onchain so they weren't worried about being rugged by a third party. The deniability over who exploited it also increases uncertainty among holders over the extent over the exploit (how many coins were minted? 1M, 2M, 10M?).

Satoshi has escaped containment again 👋

Derolytics is Captain. Nobody other than Captain understands the difference between ristretto Elgamal and standard Elgamal. I think there is a non negligible chance that Derolytics did the exploit maybe to prove a point.

Before the exploit happened wash trading ramped up and price crashed to $200k TVL
