If people can still smoke knowing it's slowly killing them, then maybe loving someone who'll never stay isn't that different. We cling onto what hurts because it reminds us that we can still feel, even if it's pain. Maybe we just choose our poison, and for some of us, love was always the sweetest one.
you don't need someone to make you feel better than you've ever felt,
what you need is someone who will be there when you don't feel yourself.
