How to effectively reach out to industry contacts? Here’s my answer for my community: I use a few approaches. 🤩 The first is to connect with them on Telegram. Simply find their @ handle and send an intro. This approach works well, but it depends on how you present yourself. For instance, if you want to sell a service, avoid starting with a sales pitch. Instead, greet them and find common topics to spark their interest. Wait for a while, such as 1-2 weeks, then occasionally remind them of yourself by engaging in discussions. Over time, you’ll build trust and can make an offer. Keep in mind they might decline, but if you follow these steps correctly, you can ask them to recommend you to others, which might lead to positive results. 🤩 The second approach is to reach out to them on X. This works well in my case because I have a strong X profile with many followers from our industry. For me, starting a chat is easy. However, you can achieve similar results by choosing a specific ecosystem and being active within it. This doesn’t mean spamming everywhere. Rather, contribute to the ecosystem to attract relevant followers. Over time, you can engage with their followers as well. ❗ Share your work updates and achievements, but be cautious. Reposting giveaways on your profile can damage your reputation. Only post things you are personally involved with.
