When I was 17, about nine years ago, my interest in Telegram and privacy led me to discover ProtonMail. I reached out to its CEO, Andy Yen, for an interview, and to my surprise, he agreed.
Imagine a 17-year-old securing an interview with a tech CEO. I wasn’t a professional interviewer, and my knowledge of technology was basic, so my questions weren’t polished. Nonetheless, Andy answered everything—except when I asked him to compare Telegram with ProtonMail.
Eight years later, I revisited that question on X, and Andy responded, simply stating that he personally doesn't use Telegram.
