ShareX is arguably the best screen capture tool out there with practically every type of capture you could ever need, but Linux support doesn't even occur to the devs. despite it has forks of it and someone already porting it for potential cross-platform use, imo, it's one of those FOSS tools that has no true 1:1 alternative on Linux.

btw CapScroll's scrolling capture was inspired by the same feature that exists in ShareX for Windows

anyways built something of a cool use, will share it

was working on vsh, a small shell interpreter i started building from scratch. it was very incomplete (still is lol). I had only implemented a small part of it, but I decided to make it my default shell and use it as my default one. and after that for some reason all of my DEs stopped logging me in. not sure what caused it, managed to default to zsh, started working again. making an unfinished crap your default is probably not the best idea.
