Update on $5000 Funded Account The week started with $5,045, and we went straight down to $4,935. Before the week closed, we booked $50 in profit and closed the week at $4,985. Our USDJPY position is still open and is being held over the weekend, currently running in $37 profit.

Complete Weekly Report We are in a loss of 1.2% this week, which is around $60. As a result, our account balance went down to $4,985. We are facing more challenges due to the December market conditions, but we still haven’t blown the account or over-risked on any single position. Because of this discipline, we are still close to our initial capital of $5,000.

On Thursday, the market was closed due to Christmas. Friday, the last trading day of the week, ended well with $50 in profit from the Gold position that we opened on Wednesday. Overall, Friday closed with a 1% profit.

Wednesday started with a trailing stop-loss in USDJPY of –$12.80. The next trade was in NZDJPY, and the same thing happened again—a trailing stop-loss of –$15.08. The third trade was in Gold (XAUUSD), which resulted in another trailing stop-loss of –$12.72. The fourth trade in XAUUSD was kept open overnight. Overall, I lost $40 on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the losing streak continued. This time, I took a big stop-loss of 1% in GBPCAD, as I risked 1% on a single trade in the December market—and that too without an A+ setup. The second trade was in USDJPY with 0.5% risk. Overall, we booked a $50 loss today.

Weekly Report Monday started with one stop-loss. I tried to take a re-entry in NZDCAD. Last week, I booked profit in this pair, and now the price had come back to the entry zone, so I decided to re-enter. Unfortunately, the trade resulted in a stop-loss. We booked a partial stop-loss of 0.8%. Overall, we closed the day with a $20 loss.

So this is the PNL for the week — $0. We had a complete rollercoaster week — from almost breaching the account to recovering the entire loss. The main problems this December are: High spreads, because of which we are not getting good risk–reward. Every time we enter a trade, we start with around 0.1% in loss. Fakeouts and sideways movement in the market, turning good setups into losing trades. Multiple news events ruining otherwise strong setups. Because of all this, psychology, risk management, mindset — everything gets disturbed. Hopefully, we will survive this market phase and manage to pass this account soon. It’s completely fine if it takes a few extra days because of the December conditions

Today (Friday) I took 2 trades today — one in GBPUSD with 0.5% risk, and another in NZDCAD with 1% risk. GBPUSD hit the stop-loss, and NZDCAD hit the target 🎯💯 I shared all the trades on my Instagram Story. Overall, we booked 1.5% profit today

On Thursday, it was CPI news day. I entered a BUY position in Gold, but due to a small wick before the news, my stop-loss got hit. Otherwise, I would have definitely booked around $100 on the CPI move. Unfortunately, only one position survived, hit the trailing stop-loss, and booked just $16 in profit. I also took one EURGBP trade, but that position got closed at breakeven. Overall, we closed the day with a –$10 loss, which is almost breakeven.

On Wednesday, we recovered the major loss and booked around $187 in profit. I took 2 trades in GOLD and 1 trade in EURGBP—all three trades hit their targets. One trade in EURAUD had a good trailing stop-loss and closed with a $20 profit. So overall, it was the best day so far. The most important learning is: just survive the losing phase. If you have a good setup and proper risk management, then it’s only a matter of time before you are back in profit. Trust the process and be patient.
