New Rule for Online Gaming
The government has changed the TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) rules on earnings from online gaming. Now, TDS will be deducted only if a person’s total winnings exceed ₹10,000. Earlier, TDS was deducted on every individual win, but under the new rule, if a person wins ₹8,000 multiple times, TDS will not be applicable until the total winnings cross ₹10,000.

सरकार ने ऑनलाइन गेमिंग से होने वाली कमाई पर TDS (स्रोत पर कर कटौती) के नियमों में बदलाव किया है। अब, TDS तभी काटा जाएगा जब किसी व्यक्ति की कुल जीत ₹10,000 से अधिक होगी। पहले, हर व्यक्तिगत जीत पर TDS काटा जाता था, लेकिन नए नियम के तहत, यदि कोई व्यक्ति कई बार ₹8,000 जीतता है, तो कुल जीत ₹10,000 से अधिक होने तक TDS लागू नहीं होगा।
