when a company asks things even researchers haven't figured out yet but they only say it's hasn't been done before as their main purpose

I'm now part of cohort 10 QOSF(Quantum mentorship program)β¨β¨
a lil bit about the process....I applied last year. I took the screening task and I picked one of the easiest question to solve from the four options. And I failed. This year I took the one that I didn't know a bit and figured it out. also it was my first time using dwave's libraries. Link
so about the mentorship...my mentor is a nuclear physicist turned QC his main interest. He's really an amazing dude.
This will go on up until March and I'm excited to update you what we would be making:))

Repost from Dagmawi Babi
Congrats to Google and the whole world for the launch of the best Quantum Chip ever made
β’ Willow can reduce errors exponentially as we scale up using more qubits. This cracks a key challenge in quantum error correction that the field has pursued for almost 30 years.
β’ Willow performed a standard benchmark computation in under five minutes that would take one of todayβs fastest supercomputers 10 septillion (that is, 1025) years β a number that vastly exceeds the age of the Universe.
