In recent months, the NC NOVA community has seen significant growth in terms of new participants, activism, meetups, and public recognition.
We began March with a large phone-banking campaign aimed at contacting our local and state representatives, urging them to repeal the recently passed Shalom Act. On March 22, the local Charlotte group organized a banner event advocating for "No More Jewish Wars," which garnered considerable support from passersby. Later that week, on March 27, NC activists gathered in Raleigh, NC to participate in another banner event alongside members from Eastern NC and SC, once again promoting the message of "No More Jewish Wars."
Following this, on April 3, activists from the Charlotte region gathered to post propaganda in South End and enjoy fellowship. On April 12, we held another banner event in Charlotte, continuing to call for "No More Jewish Wars." Just a few days later, on April 15, a regional NOVA meetup was held with our friends in Virginia and South Carolina.
In May, we once again showcased our message for "No More Jewish Wars" with a banner event on May 3 in Charlotte. On May 22, a large contingent from NC traveled to Tennessee for NOVA’s first National Event of 2026, where several of our volunteers acted as security for the event.
June also proved to be a successful month for outreach and activism. On June 9 and 12, a group met on the western side of Charlotte for a stickering event to distribute our materials. Two days later, on June 14, we held another banner demo in south Charlotte, advocating for "No More Jewish Wars." This event gained traction on social media, as it was shared by a sock account, resulting in over 400 comments—many of which were positive and supportive—and nearly 100,000 impressions within 24 hours. On June 18, two of our activists met to continue stickering and distributing our materials near notable entertainment venues in the area. Finally, on June 27, the NC NOVA community gathered again in Raleigh for our state meetup to share a meal and comradery.
