The Führer has decided that the Croatian government should be persuaded to agree that the Waffen SS Prinz Eugen Division should raise a new division from Croatian conscripts through free recruitment. I ask you to raise this matter immediately with the Poglavnik and to make it clear to him that in the current phase of the war it is important to completely fill up the cadres raised in Germany. Despite the most rigorous measures now being taken in Germany to call up all able-bodied German men for front-line service, we would nevertheless like to do something additional in view of the enormous war tasks in order to confront the enemy as strongly as possible everywhere in Europe. We are convinced that the Croats, who are particularly welcome to every German as comrades in arms, could be deployed most quickly and best for the common war goal if they were combined in a division under German command. Of course, only those Croatian men who voluntarily declare their willingness to do so would be considered for this. Please send me a wire report as soon as possible. Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on December 22-24 ▪️Russian troops continue to launch strikes on facilities deep behind Ukrainian rare. Once again, the Russian Armed Forces attacked the Starokonstantinov airfield, which is the target of regular raids. ▪️Another target was port infrastructure in Odessa region, used by the AFU for attacks in the Black Sea. Another strike hit a facility in Voznesensk district in Mykolaiv region. ▪️On the frontline, Russian offensive is developing in several directions at once. On the Kup’yans’k sector, Russian Armed Forces units are expanding their zone of control near Syn’kivka and launching strikes on AFU positions. ▪️North of Bakhmut, Russian units are advancing near Khromove and Bohdanivka. To the south, the Russian Armed Forces hold the initiative. They are storming enemy positions on the heights near Klishchiivka. ▪️There is heavy fighting near the Avdiivka fortified area in the Donetsk region. On the northern flank, the assault squads managed to advance to the southern part of Novokalynove.  ▪️In the South-Donetsk direction, Russian troops are advancing at the Pobjeda-Novomykhailivka line. As a result of the assault operations, the Russian Armed Forces have taken control of the Zverinets fortified area, which had been the object of fighting for several months. ▪️Meanwhile, permanent fighting continues on the left bank of the Dnieper near Krynki. Despite the losses, the AFU command is moving additional forces to the area in an attempt to hold the bridgehead.

In these pictures you can see how it looks like, and many people to this day who possibly had their relatives serving in the division came together, and gave respects to the dead ones. [1-5th picture] 🇨🇦(🇺🇦): In Oakville, Canada there is a cemetary named "St. Volodymyr" which has a monument possibly donated to be made by Canadian-Ukrainians who came to Canada due to Communist complete take over after World War II. The monument is made for the ones who died for the freedom of Ukraine, and in memory of Ukrainian soldiers [6-9th picture]

The Bergkaukasien legion consisted of various nationalities such as: Abkhazians, Circassians, Kabardians, Balkars, Karachais, Chechens, Ingushes, and people of Daghestan, Kurds, Talyshs and North Ossetians. 🇩🇪: Die Legion Bergkaukasien war eine Wehrmachtslegion, die am 19. Februar 1942 mit der Absicht gegründet wurde, an der Ostfront zu kämpfen. Die Bergkaukasien-Legion bestand aus verschiedenen Nationalitäten wie Abchasen, Tscherkessen, Kabarden, Balkaren, Karatschais, Tschetschenen, Inguschen sowie Menschen aus Daghestan, Kurden, Talyschen und Nordosseten.
