Their dreams propelled the film. la la land is a life story and the reality of it. the film ends when they've achieved their dreams. while they don't end up together, it's the people that push you and inspire you to follow your dreams that make the difference. it's not right person wrong time, it's that they were MEANT to meet but for the purpose of helping each other with their dreams. yes love found them but it was because of each other they pushed each other to reach their highest potential and purpose.
