| 14 |  We started the above project to breathe some new life into our activities. It was fun while it lasted, but apparently has fizzled out. We understand that. Everything runs its course.
We are wondering though, what will motivate you? Yes, the plural you. What will awaken Wotan inside of you? What will get you to sacrifice for our Gods? What would you like to see done?

....."I was almost at the top of the mountain. Our lungs and legs were being tested to the max. Gasping, we hit the switchback - and finally, we saw the stair steps leading up...way up...to what had been a forest ranger outlook. Success! We had worked hard to get there, but the view was amazing! Seemingly endless miles of mountain, lake, forest, and plain. Pouring mead into the horn, we toasted Wotan, and our Folk, and our own prowess and will. We unfurled our "Wotan Network" banner, and took the photos that would go far and wide on social media, especially the Wotan Network Activity channel"...
Another, less athletic version -
....."The kids were loving it. We were on the top of the hill - the highest terrain in our area. Not exactly the Sierras, but it was what we had, and it was lovely. The birds were singing and the sun was shining. We poured the mead into our horn, and apple juice into the horn for the kids. We toasted Wotan and explained to them what we were doing, and why. Photos, and a short summary, went to the Wotan Network Activity channel, of course. Our friends who aren't on Telegram send their account over to Wotan Network and let the folks there post it"...
You, and/or your family and friends, could be doing things like this! Good exercise, good friendships - and good for our Folk!

Some places can never truly be claimed by man. They can be visited and enjoyed, but the time will come again where he will have to leave. Nothing can be built there. It's too rugged and this is one of those places. It would seem He made it this way and perhaps the urge that is felt to go is just that. We know somewhere deep within that He can be found there and waiting for us to take the journey.
If the above has truth to it, it was felt that day as I passed through those lands. At first it was difficult, but in little time my body began to adjust to the climb. It seemed to remember what it was meant to do and has done so for ages prior. Soon then my mind began to adjust. It left the other world and entered another. One that has never left me nor you. Everything begins to slow down and a feeling of who you really are sets in. Finally, your spirit becomes part of that place. A blend of some sort happens. There is no separation between you and it. You are one with it, united.
A horn was raised and much thanks was given. My thoughts went to “where would I be without Him?” (or our gods in general). We owe much and no horn, flag raised, or offering can fully show our appreciation for being some of the chosen few to have found this way. We must do much more and that is to live this life like He would, always. Use all he has shown us and not waste any of it. It's all there for a reason.
And so the day came to an end as I made my way down. I felt a slight change as my body, mind and spirit began to readjust yet a part of me stayed up there waiting for me to visit once more. A place unclaimed by men.
