How can one soul be a restless battlefield?
As if I am not a human being, but a war between personalities that inhabit me,
one of them emotional to the point of breaking, shedding tears like endless rain,
and the other harshly rational, mocking my sadness and accusing me of weakness whenever I cry.
As if I am an audience watching itself being torn between a mind that tells me to stop and feel,
and a heart that tells me to run and not look back.
