IBM Systems Z Workshop
Brief:
As the technology, which powers the worldâs economy, mainframe is even more relevant in todayâs multicloud era and there is a sustained need for skilled people. Gaining mainframe skills enables students to work on networking, analytics, databases, deep programming languages and APIsâthe full 360 degrees of IT with long-term career value.
This training, IBM Z Xplore is a learning experience available to final year individuals who are looking at developing in-demand IBM Z skills, earning industry-recognized digital badges and being a part of a learning community. It includes an entry level mobile application and an interactive learning platform with IBM zSystems access.
Skills:
Students will be undergoing the fundamentals and concepts workshop whereby they will learn about data sets and coding languages such as JCL, Python and USS using the VS Code modern application - get introduced to IBM Z security, enterprise scalability, message queue (MQ), Customer Information Control System (CICS) and Database 2 (DB2).
Date & Venue:
Date: 7-10 May 2024
Time: 9 am - 6 pm
Venue: Level 19, Plaza IBM, Persiaran Bandar Utama, Bandar Utama, 47800, Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Target group: 20 final year students and alumni
Meal: Refreshments and lunch will be provided
*Transportation and accommodation will be up to personal expenses.
