Behold!!!! Introducing Froady Baggins!

A Silly Little Guy to Carry around for the Wonderfully Whimsical Weird Girls. He's the prototype of a made to order bag I would like to offer. Can be made in any colour! Measures approximately 12 × 10.5 inches (not including appendages)

| 3 |  +4I have not sewn from a paper pattern in several years, but I came across a carpet bag pattern that I wanted to try. I challenged myself to only use materials I had on hand. No purchasing new.
The exterior fabric is a Dr. Who print and the interior is a blue starry night. Both are 100% cotton and have been sitting in my stash for quite a while. All of the hardware, straps, zippers, etc. are also from my stash.
This is a large, weekender-size bag with pockets inside and out. | 122 |
| 4 | I can’t agree with this more. At least 50% of the materials I use are older, thrifted, forgotten gems. I buy a lot from women in their 70’s and 80’s. Estate sales are the best. Newer doesn’t equal better. | 113 |
| 5 |  Reject late stage capitalism with everything made to break and embrace repairing/mending things first, tales from the thrift, marketplace, garage sales, etc. often the older items are much better quality and have far more character.
I also enjoy “the hunt” of things or cool scores found “out in the wild” rather than mindless “add to cart”. | 55 |

I wasn’t entirely pleased with the carpet bag so I reworked it and I’m happier with it now.
